Sometimes you can learn more from what is missing in mainstream media reports than from what is in them. Such an example could be the party breakdown which is almost always missing in reports about early voting this year in stark contrast to 2016.
First let us take a look at one of the rare current reports published today which touches on early voting party breakdown by Liam Stack of the New York Times News Service but in a way to discount any real meaning to it:

I cant wait to see the Commie media CRY like they did in 2016

I sure am hoping every Republican and every person who values the Constitution votes this Election Day.
And votes Republican.
Maybe lil Natie told them the early voting numbers are meaningless. Just sayin’.
I used to follow Soviet news/propaganda and, as an outsider, tried to get a sense of the power struggles. Sometimes there would be a cryptic story that meant something important if you read between the lines.
good- gove them a false sense of security...
I don’t care for the article. PJ spends most of his words rehashing words from others regarding the 2016 election. We all know the story there. No reason to rehash it.
Then he spends one paragraph writing about 2018. And most of that paragraph is a quote from someone else.
Don’t care for this article. Didn’t learn hardly anything.
Yeah, I hate PJ too. Just a lousy lazy rehasher who quotes others. Didn’t learn hardly anything...except for the fact the MSM completely changed its tone on early voting since 2016. Other than that PJ is just a rehash artist.
FakeNewsMSM lies.

No one should get excited about early voting numbers. it’s the count when the election is over that matters. Until then it is not necessarily reflective of the final result. Go vote regardless of good or bad news. Unless you are voting for Democrats, then stay home. 8>)

Like the press in the old Soviet Union.
The night of Trumps election I tuned into Fox News. I thought I was going to a funeral. When Florida and the Midwest came in I realized we might win this thing. When Michigan came in I was jubilant. When Pennsylvania came in I was over the top. I hugged my best friend whom also thought he also was attending a funeral. My words were this, "The Republic is saved."
Much adult beverages were consumed after Pennsylvania came in. We then turned off Fox News and went to CNN and MSNBC so we could enjoy their most obvious pain. Rachel Maddow was the best.
Schadenfreude is most delicious.

As you said the final vote on election day is the important one. However, early votes are most important in determining the trend for the election. Based on early voting the good guys are looking good.
Case in point is Florida. In the past democrats always had the lead in early voting and then on election day the republicans far out voted the dems. This election cycle the republicans are out voting the dems in early voting. Unless the republicans decide to not show up on election day Florida is in the bag for our side.
But in 2016 the Democrats outpaced the Republicans in early voting.
Has anyone heard how the 2nd congressional district in AR between French Hill(R) and Clarke Tucker(D) is going? Bill is the incumbent but Tucker seems to have many more ads and looks to have substantial out of state support. This is not my district but I went to Little Rock one day and was surprised how many Tucker signs were in the yards so I’m a bit worried.
If you believe the article then, that They were bragging about Early voting in 2016 that Hillary was going to win because democrats were ahead in early voting.
They should be saying, yes republicans are ahead in early voting but that means they will probably lose because that’s
what happened to Hillary
It could be that the Dems will just lose by more this time:)
I wonder why??? :)
