Breaking: @joyent, Gab’s new hosting provider, has just pulled our hosting service. They have given us until 9am on Monday to find a solution. Gab will likely be down for weeks because of this. Working on solutions. We will never give up on defending free speech for all people.

Every single article from the fake news mentioning the shooter and his posting on GAB used something similar to “ White nationalist,racist,anti-Semite and conservative right wing ....On the front page right now is an AP article basically calling critics of Soros like Trump etc anti- semetic....
So what does Gab have to do to get their provider and their online payment company back? Has Gab made that clear? I haven't seen information yet.
It was recently Gab.com not ai. Freedom implies not being monitored by liberals like Twitter.

I read this and decided to do a quick write up to spread word via my blog.
Its not nice out there for free speech tonight and I hope people defend their principles without hating or blaming people for this shut down.
No silence about this wrongdoing, but no violence either.

The man who said that had his radio station shut down by the FCC on “Fairness Doctrine” grounds in the 1970’s.
The stuff that angered his liberal opponents included a man calling in to a talk show and reading to the host of that show a poem about being a dog and relieving himself on the graves of various personalities including Dr. Martin Luther King.
The media may be different today, but the First Amendment is still with us, still under attack and its worth defending even if we may not agree with what others are saying.

Okay, I now did some reading on the Internet about why Gab is being shut down. They deserve it as they have been post extremist hate and violence. I am a bit surprised to see FReepers defending the likes of Bowers, cheering the site for hosting him. It didn’t take a lot of searching and reading to see that Gab has a history of this and only threats of being shutdown have gotten them to clean up their act. We all, well a lot of us, criticize Facebook and Twitter for what they allow, yet here some FReepers defend it for someone else? Is violence against Jews okay? That’s a very, very big change for FR.

That was my first thought too. Time to go to Thailand or wherever this can be done without leftist control. Looks like I can add server hosts to the tech industry that needs to be split up or heavily regulated since it operates on a partisan method. Unacceptable.
I wonder what hosting places porn sites use. They may already have the answer to this problem. Nothing wrong with Gab.com. They don’t stomp on free speech which means some people get out of control but their guidelines do prohibit behavior outside the lines of free speech.
It’s also fairly new so some bugs will need to be worked out over time. I hope they get this resolved for the sake of free speech rights.
I think on gab. I saw some extremely despicable things on Twitter that supposedly came from gab.
FR doesn’t tolerate threats, anti-Jewish attacks, pornography, extremist hate, etc. Big difference.

The Constitution starting with the First Amendment works a lot better.
I’m expecting ICANN to remove the DNS records for all of the ‘hate’ websites, i.e., any conservative website. The domain names won’t resolve though one will have the option of connecting directly by IP address. This would be timed prior to an election.
