Breaking: @joyent, Gab’s new hosting provider, has just pulled our hosting service. They have given us until 9am on Monday to find a solution. Gab will likely be down for weeks because of this. Working on solutions. We will never give up on defending free speech for all people.

If your enemy has access to modern comms and you don’t, you lose. Check into the history of modern resistance movements since WW1 - there has never been a successful resistance since 1911 against a popular government (read: cowed/conned/sedated populace) that had media controls without massive outside technical and monetary assistance. Where would conservatives get assistance from outside the US?

The error you are making is in perceiving the set of 1st Amendment protected rights as separate things.

Your point being what, exactly? I referenced Oracle only in response to a post that suggested Gab being shut down was deserve, because Gab doesn’t do its own hosting. It wasn’t an endorsement of Oracle. I work all week with (mostly) Silicon Valley tech execs, so I’m well aware they mostly lean left. Gab’s CEO Andrew Torva has been kicked out of Y Combinator and shunned by other tech execs, solely because he didn’t partake in the liberal groupthink.
It is. However, there is no reasonable way to prevent that kind of speech and have an environment where people are free to speak their minds.

A few days ago I tried to get back on my GAB account and failed. None of my email addresses could be found on the GAB side.It had been awhile since my last post but I wonder if this issue was a hint of the shutdown to come.

The fellow who makes some really great pro Trump cartoons, ggggr graphics, had people who'd alter his work into antisemitic depictions. I first thought this was the work of Nazi like punks but now I figure they were false flags planted by leftists to Smear' and libel the artist. His work was too good and effective otherwise. The media has been hard at work trying to ignore the rallies. Twitter and social media actually has more overall impact than the rallies do because it lets Trump bypass the media ‘gatekeepers.’
Japan has it’s own problems - an ongoing and terrifying demographic collapse. They also have their own media controls and the government there largely decides what gets covered.
Don’t expect support from them.
They should have known from the start they were bucking the big boys and need to be completely independent.
