In child health care, the bond of trust between parents and doctors is critical. But when it comes to the treatment of youth with gender dysphoria, that bond is under a new threat. As part of an investigative series, I have been in touch with an overwhelming number of parents of trans-identifying youth who feel their voices are being shut out by activists.
One online group — with a membership of over 1,000 parents — has written a moving letter to the American Academy of Pediatrics about their recent one-size-fits-all, trans-affirming policy statement. They beg for consideration. They beg for critical thinking. They beg for their children. Here is their response:
Dear American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP):
We need you and our children need you. There is a great and growing disservice that needs your attention, scientific curiosity, critical thinking, clinical experience, and compassion.
We have serious concerns about the AAP’s Policy Statement “Ensuring Comprehensive Care and Support for Transgender and Gender-Diverse Children and Adolescents” (Rafferty et al., 2018). While we believe that AAP’s intention behind this position statement is to protect the health of today’s gender-diverse youth (children through young adults), we are deeply concerned that the clinicians using affirmation therapy are inadvertently inflicting physical and psychological harm.
We are members of a rapidly growing online community of over 1,100 parents of transgender-identifying youth who need your help. We have no unifying political affiliation. We empathize with mature transgender-identifying people who deserve respect. We need to stop the harm to our children.

I know a 13-14 year old girl driven across state lines to have a radical mastectomy. She thinks she’s a boy. Her parents are nuts.
She now still looks and acts exactly like a tiny little 90 lb. 12 year old girl - sans boobs.
Lord have mercy.
They live in a major city with dozens of well known hospitals but had to travel hundreds of miles to a neighboring state to get some one to perform the surgery.
Why is this not malpractice for an unnecessary surgery on a child?
The risks: death or paralysis from anesthesia, infection, removal of breast and surrounding tissue, permanent sterility from rounds of testosterone. Plus the unknown endocrine risk from a life long regime of hormones!!!
Inane analogies aside, how are they "abrogating" their responsibility by asking clinicians NOT to affirm the trans lifestyle by default?

Get your kids out of public school. That is the only place they can control and indoctrinate them. Do it tomorrow.
Parents do this, and the schools do this.

When a kid says they are going to suicide if it is not done, and the government pressed it, parents do what they think they need to do.
Happens all the time.
And they want insurance to pay for elective cosmetic surgery that wont actually make them happy.
Additional billing fraud occurs when men get ‘serviced’ by a gynecologist.
How many of these kids are being raised by Pedo/LGBT folks that are steering their adopted or artificially inseminated children into this abomination?

No, the government, the counselors, the doctors, the health care system, the social workers, the neighbors, the friend groups, the internet, the films, the TV shows... everything that these kids swim in controls them .

And have worked with many Christian families on this issue. There have been no effective countering therapies available until just recently because any one who questioned the issue lost their job or ability to practice.
Within or outside of the various churches.
The State Human Rights Tribunals and Planned Parenthood are enormously powerful.
The parents deserve very long prison sentences.
Everything: There doctors affirmed the changes and she went on hormones for a year before having her breast chopped off before the age of 14.

That would not seem to be, and indeed, is not sufficient. I will assume you have not reached the point, yet, where you view the Catholic Church as being the one, true church.
