We can start to turn around the ship of state and get it on the right path without renegade judges slowing it down (for very long, at least)

I bet they’ll wish they had. It started with their decision to go scorched earth for the primary article of faith in the religion of liberalism: abortion is sacrosanct. They thought they could either make things so miserable that Kavanaugh or Trump would back down. They bet wrong.
If Schumer had released the fence-sitting moderates (if there really are any that have not been purged from the Democrat party) they would have lost the support of the lunatic fringe corner of their voting base, which is apparently sizable. So now they are forced to keep beating that drum which will only turn ordinary, apolitical Americans more against them. This means that those who lean Democrat will consider voting Republican or at least not be motivated to show up and vote.
And as the Democrat party stakes all of its money and political capital on “abortion rights,” conservatism will be empowered. This day will probably be the watershed moment that gives our nation a chance at recovering from decades of on-demand abortion and, more recently, coercion to embrace homosexual thought.
I like to hear a whale wail now and then.

I had a wonderful time watching the demonstrations outside the Capitol - crazed speeches from women who had to sit through the hell of the Senate proceedings; six women in prison stripes (should have been George Soros); people screaming about liars (I assume they meant Stolen Valor Blumenthal), rapists (Bill Clinton??) and murderers (Ted Kennedy?) and general atmosphere of lunacy.
Agree - we need to thank Sen. McConnell. He has been superb!

Yay!!!!! The republicans pulled it off and won a long hard fight. Congrats to Justice Kavanaugh and praise to God he was right there with them.

Why are Capital Police permitting the mob to occupy the steps of the Supreme Court?
Going back to work on Monday should be interesting. The woman who works in the office next to me is a lib. She hates Trump and she thought that Kav lacked the “temperament” to sit on the Supreme Court. Yesterday her response to Susan Collins was “Susan Collins can bite me.” I had a hard time containing my glee. I wish I could be a fly on the wall in her house right now! It’s like 2016 all over again!
