Mark Levin Okay, ill say it... 9 MINUTES AGO · PUBLIC Lets stop pretending Susan Collins is a hero and her speech was Churchillian. Many of us were pleasantly surprised Collins did the right thing. Her speech painted Bret Kavanaugh as a bit of an activist. Lets hope shes wrong about that. But she came to the same conclusion as all Senate Republicans but Murkowski, i.e., Kavanaugh was the victim of a horrendous smear campaign. A sigh of relief shes voting for his confirmation, yes. A hero, no.
“...Everything is relative.”
By the standards of the moral relativity tgat got us into this near dictatorship, yeah. But no.
This is why we tune into what Levin has to say.
I ‘feel’ you on that.
I was trying to warn someone that Kavanaugh might not be a saint behind the bench. But she spent much of that night crying on her knees praying for him anyway.
He’s a symbol.
“Its sort of absurd on the face of it to have a speech for a cloture vote.”
BTTT
I hope Kavanaugh isn’t the judge she described him as because we will all be very disappointed.
Ironically if the Dems were saying those things about him rather than the raunch approach they’d have a much better chance of defeating him.
‘I’m sorry but if you can’t discern that someone is a lying rat with zero integrity, you should not be a Republican Senator.’
Point taken. But who is in place to primary her?
No more demon-rats!
Mark hasn’t been active for two years, but let’s tag him anyway.
What’s really pathetic is this — is Kavanaugh truly a constitutionalist?
He’s a symbol of the moment. A campaign rallying flag.
When will people question his deference to unconstitutional precedents?
Senator Collins speech was truly historic as a perfect example of Senatorial responsibilty and upholding the constitution. She presented extremely well thought out, reasoned arguments. Levin should just be quiet on this one...
Does he dance to the tune of unconstitutional precedents? "Rah-rah-rah."
And his push for another FBI check allowed time for the 'rats entire gambit to be unraveled.
Its not hard to be a stand out when everyone around you is mediocre. That’s was the case in the senate.
Her speech was refreshing in that it was cogent and factual, for a change. A breath of fresh air as it were in an otherwise stale chamber.
That said, her strong endorsement of Kavanaugh is a bit disconcerting as she often leans left.
‘...and upholding the constitution.’
Only based on modern education of what that means.
Man, do we need education reform!
We need profess-ors to ‘profess’ their political claims in annual mandatory debates. Post those debates online.
‘That said, her strong endorsement of Kavanaugh is a bit disconcerting as she often leans left.’
Collins and her staffers were educated by what?
Wacko leftist professors.
Those professors should be compelled to debate annually, to defend their political beliefs. Post it online.
Okay, I’m ‘outa this thread.
God bless Susan Collins.
And GOD BLESS THE GREAT ONE!
I hope Kavanaugh isnt the judge she described him as because we will all be very disappointed.
*************
I got the strong sense she was telling Kavanaugh what she expects of him in exchange for her yes vote. There was more than a hint of this in her speech.
Collins did a brilliant job of summing up the case for Kavanaugh. It was like the closing argument of a monumental court case.
McConnell said last night that he didnt know how the cloture vote was going to turn out. He took a big risk.
What time is the vote scheduled for today?
“Its sort of absurd on the face of it to have a speech for a cloture vote.”
BTTT
‘Very difficult for the media and Democrats to attack.’
she was chosen to make the speech and the ultimate vote for the same reason Mitchell was chosen to ‘grill’ Tootsie-Wootsie Ford; men are poison on the national stage when women are playing the offended card...
