Murkowski Sides With Flake on Delaying Kavanaugh Vote for FBI Investigation
Townhall.com ^ | September 28, 2018 | Lauretta Brown

Sen. Lisa Murkwoski (R-AK) told reporters Friday that she agrees with fellow moderate Republican Sen. Jeff Flake (AZ) in his call for an FBI investigation that would delay the Senate floor vote on Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh’s nomination for up to one week.

Murkowski believes there should be an investigation that is “limited in time and scope.”

Murkowski to @ckmarie:
“do you support Senator Flake’s call for a delay and an FBI investigation?”
Murkowski: "yes I do. It has to be limited in time and scope.”— Phil Mattingly (@Phil_Mattingly) September 28, 2018

During the Senate Judiciary Committee vote to move Judge Kavanaugh’s nomination to the full Senate, Sen. Flake insisted that he did not think they should have a full vote on Kavanaugh until there has been a week-long FBI investigation into sexual misconduct allegations against Kavanaugh.

The committee did vote 11-10 to confirm Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court.

As a moderate Republican, Sen. Murkowski was a key vote in the confirmation process.

Kavanaugh's confirmation will be determined by her and other key moderate senators such as Sens. Susan Collins (R-ME) and Jeff Flake.

Judge Kavanaugh and Dr. Christine Blasey Ford both gave emotional testimonies Thursday on allegations that he groped her and pinned her down while he was drunk at a party in high school.

Kavanaugh fully denies her allegations and the witnesses she initially claimed were present have denied that such an event occurred.

“Investigation of what?”

They wouldn’t have investigated the claim in 82. The cops or the FBI. This is the repubikans giving the middle finger to Trump.

People are freaking out about this, because of fear that with further delays, the liberals are going to dig up further allegations.

The Ramirez and Sweatnick allegations came out during the time delay that was granted to negotiate with Ford’s attorneys about the structure of her testimony.

We are freaking out a bit because of fears that the liberals are going to pull the same bullcrap again.

Maybe it’s time for the Arizona AG to reopen his (Flake’s) dog-killing son’s case.

Collins won’t say a thing. We won’t know her vote until she votes. She may even abstain.

You have not heard the new demands huh? You think the Democrats would not scream bloody murder if they ignore any new claims?

The best way to deal with any concerns about “further allegations” is to have the confirmation vote the day before Election Day.

After what they put this man through with their lies they STIL L do not do the right thing and let the fringe left win. No matter who is the majority the GOP just let the pussy hat wearing psychos win, and pull the rug out from under one of the biggest opportunities for our side in decades with SCOTUS.

GOP is DONE!!!!!

“Nothing to investigate.” So says the FBI. She’s toast.

****************

This is not your grandfather’s FBI. This is a different, politicized FBI that serves their Democrat masters.

This is definitely cover for his hopeful yes vote.

Unless of course Kav was a cross between Ted Bundy and Jeff Dahmer that the FBI missed on 6 previous investigations!
Not to mention the Clinton war room in 1998.

And if McConnell delays that is game set match to Dems. And if he goes ahead and loses, that’s game set match tourney to Dems. Most GOP in Congress just want their perks, their entree to the beltway parties. About their constituents and country...ehhhh no bigge. Their models are and will always be Everett Dirksen and Charlie Halleck. What is it Talking Heads said...some as it ever was...

Don’t forget, the FBI has already turned down this case once.

Dan Bongino has mentioned that background investigations for high-level security clearances can take a year or more.

If we cave in and let the FBI get involved, after the allotted week, they will come back and say they need more time.

The sound you will hear is that of a tin can being kicked down the road.

“You assume the FBI will be reasonable, on our side and not Deep State. “

Exactly, and I haven’t heard any of the repubs bring up that fact in response to the dems/rinos
