Alan Dershowitz did not hold back his thoughts when asked about Rachel Mitchells cross-examination during Christine Blasey Fords testimony Thursday on Capitol Hill.

It's politics, and she handled the politics well. There are times when that is what matters the most. Assuming Kavanaugh becomes Justice Kavanaugh, without giving the corrupt left more ammunition for their selected narrative, that is all that matters.
Big fail in your PR efforts. Expect a pink slip on Friday.
I can hardly believe some of the negative comments here all anyone has to do is look at the outcome. Mitchell did not make herself the show, Ford was revealed as having huge inconsistences and question marks about her and her story, no Republican got caught out making a statement about women or anything else that will come back to haunt them, the DemonRats are coming out of this in a form that could not make them look worse especially going into the midterms and best of all Kavanaugh is getting confirmed! Am I missing something? What better outcome could there be? Dershowitz is a Democrat and is just pi$$ed that the end result could not be better (for the Republicans).
maybe - but they need cover -either facts, or an overriding princple, something to latch onto. that’s why they are putting Flake out first to see what flak he draws. he has nothing to lose.
((((Hugs))))
“If Kavanaugh is voted down, no Conservative judge will ever accept a Supreme Court nomination from Trump again.”
I seriously doubt that.
Re: “I seriously doubt that.”
Please note I wrote “Conservative judge.”
I have no doubt that dozens of RINO judges - like retired Justice Anthony Kennedy - will avidly seek the nomination.
Bottom Line - the reason that millions of Trump “doubters” voted for him is because he promised to nominate Conservative judges, and because Trump was the only GOP national candidate who was a “fighter.”
Trump's “fight” for Brett Kavanaugh is just like Trump's “fight” for “The Wall” - pitiful.
Actually, I'm a life long Conservative who always votes for the GOP Presidential nominee.
I voted for Trump in 2016, and I will vote to reelect Trump in 2020, but only because Trump is the most Conservative candidate who has a chance to win.
Trump has not fought hard enough or passionately enough to defend honorable Conservatives like Alabama Senate candidate Roy Moore, former EPA Director Scott Pruitt, Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh, and two Appellate Court nominees, whose names I cannot recall at the moment.
The result of not fighting is - political suicide.
Bottom Line....
If Conservatives do not hold Trump's feet to the political fire, who will?
Yes; but a few have tricky politcal calculations, like several being a Democrat or a RINO up for election in a red state. They needed to gauge the public reaction to the Republicans' revealing the women behind the curtain of the Democrats' political theater.
A mean and careless thing to say. Although she lectures around the country on child sex abuse, she isn't even vain enough to have a Wikipedia page. Digging a little, I found she is a Christian and a registered Republican, and the bulk of her work has been in prosecuting primarily the rapists and sex abusers of children or other domestic victims. She looked like a "grandma" to me, disarming to arrogant abusers and non-threatening to vulnerable plaintiffs.
NYT: What We Know About Rachel Mitchell, the Prosecutor Who Questioned Christine Blasey Ford
As for her looks, she reminds me of Susan Boyle, the very shy Scottish singer who never married, stayed home to take care of her mother until she died, then went on American Idol in her dowdy late 40s and became a star. At which point she improved her wardrobe and grooming.
No; that question was asked by Republican Senator John N. Kennedy of Louisiana.
Sorry. I know I am not The NY Times but even so.
LOL! Good one!
I have voted Republican since the 1960s.
I became a political conservative watching Barry Goldwater get nominated and Rockefeller, Keating and Javit stalk out of the hall and proceed to knife him in the back along with Scranton, George Romney, Scranton, Peter Frelinghuysen and other GOP lowlives.
NO OTHER HUMAN BEING COULD HAVE ACCOMPLISHED WHAT TRUMP HAS DONE.
He has to deal with RINO snakes in Congress - virtually all of them except the Freedom Caucus, ALL the Democrats,
the mainstream media, most of our foreign “allies”, our foreign enemies, the Educational Establishment, Hollywood,
corporate globalists, selected leftist lunatic millionaires like Soros, the illegal alien religious nuts, a Marxist Pope, the UN, need I go on??
He is the ONLY “REPUBLICAN” on the national level. He has done far more for America politically than anyone of us.
He NEEDS SUPPORT, NOT CRITICISM.
Amen brother!
Can you imagine her parents who named her Heather, probably daydreaming of a fair maiden running barefoot in fragrant flowering fields with her long tousled hair, skirts and ribbons streaming behind her? And now look. Wow.
Paraphrasing Lincoln, "It is better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to sh*tpost on FR and remove all doubt."
Very well summarized. He is clearing out the cumulative damages from nearly a century of communist-infested admininstrations and intelligentsia, from Wilson to FDR to ClintonBushObama. If we win Congress again this fall, he can start to get the most hotly contested things done. As it is, he has done miracles in a very methodical way that completely flies over the heads of the haters.
Even so, what? She can't be considered competent unless she provides the viewing audience a beach body and spandex?
I respectfully decline your invitation to join the Donald J. Trump personality cult.
Re: “He NEEDS SUPPORT, NOT CRITICISM.”
No - he needs tangible accomplishments, not excuses.
Trump's FY2018 Budget Deficit? - Higher than Obama in FY2017
Immigration? - Legal immigrants per year, Green Cards per year, and Naturalizations (new citizens) per year, the same as Obama. Foreign Work Visas? Almost the same as Obama.
I can go on and on....
I voted for the guy because he claimed to be a “fighter.”
If he's not strong enough to prevail against the Democrats, the Hard Left media, and the RINOs, he should have mentioned that during his 2016 campaign.
Except on the issues of business regulations, taxes, Israel, and illegal immigration, Trump is NOT a Conservative. As a general rule, Trump is a center-left pragmatist.
I repeat my earlier statement...
If Conservatives do not hold Trump's feet to the political fire, who will?
