Former NBA player Chris Dudley says he never saw Brett Kavanaugh 'blacked out' at Yale

Former NBA player Chris Dudley refuted claims made by fellow classmates about Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh this week, saying he “never, ever saw him blacked out” while they were at parties during their Yale days.

Kavanaugh’s character has come into question following his confirmation hearing and the initial report from Christine Blasey Ford that he sexually assaulted her during a drunken party in high school. Ford initially sent a letter to her senator in July. Two women have since accused him of sexual assault, including Debbie Ramirez. Ramirez said he exposed himself to her during a party their freshman year at Yale.

The media should be required to give party affiliation of every person commenting on this case. I’d bet it breaks down on party lines.

Presumably, if you knew him well, personal experience will outweigh political opinions.

Most people don't know him at all and let their political convictions determine what they think of Kavanaugh.

P.S. There is something in the confidential files of the committee about James Roche, the freshman year room mate -- some reason Kavanaugh gave why they didn't get along.

I attended a HS very similar to the schools in question in this case in the 80’s and did quite a bit of drinking in college too. I’m not particularly proud of it but it is what it is.

I only blacked out once and it was after drinking Jagermeister, which I never did again.

The myth of the “black out drunk” is just silly—passed out maybe, but blacked out, no. And I attended a LOT of frat parties. It wasn’t a rapey era. We just didn’t see things that way.

I can’t imagine that this woman is THAT traumatized by what amounts to nothing but a clumsy pass, no matter who might have done it. And I don’t believe it was BK who did it!

“And I attended a LOT of frat parties. “

I belong to one of the wildest yet influential frat at Stanford. There was NOT one time I blacked out. That doesn’t exist and saw no one, who drank more than I did do that. And this rapey nonsense: please. My batch mates maybe be drunkards but they know when you are getting the rest of the frat in trouble.

No, he fails to prove a negative. He just didn’t happen to be present when Kavanaugh blacked out. Narrative uber alles.

He’s an All American beer drinker, as opposed to a Scotch or snooty wine guy. He’s one of us....in that sense.

He will be one of the best SCOTUS eeeeeever.

the Asshat Dimms can’t relate to him more than they could with the man on the moon. Never was there a more striking difference of the division in this country than yesterday.

How can someone be a regularly crazed drunk and have grades that place him at the top of his class?

How can someone be a falling-down drunk during the time he had to study and create his foundation for the future and accomplish what Kavanaugh has?
