Aha, I see.
And what's Lankford saying this afternoon?
I had understood that Sasse was also one of these wishy washy ones, but boy oboy did he ever give a powerful statement.

The good news is, Saint Jeffys political career is dead and buried. He always had his nose up Juan MCCains bitter @ss. A lot of good it did him. McCain is worms meat and Flake is the most hated politician in Arizona.

I wonder if Kavanaugh’s TV interview with McCallum was a case of him sandbagging the Rats. He acted all “robotic” (some say) and low-key. The Rats expected him to be that way today, and it turned out he came out loaded for bear. Just a thought.

Sigh.
The comittee votes tomorrow.. from there it goes to the floor.
By next week Kavanaugh will be a Supreme Court Justice.
He will be voted in by 52-55 senators.
This is theater folks. Nothing more

Is there any chance of this being a(n) Pyrrhic Victory, for Judge K? Knee jerking or chill Judge K is in?
When are the votes committee and/or full Senate, dates and times?

You arent impressing anyone here with this. It isnt a contest.
Over my lifetime, but particularly in the last 25 years, politics have become a contest, where everybody must pick a side and there must always be winners and losers, with little compromise allowed, because ties don't count. Look at FR over the past 15 years - used to be a lot of robust discussions. Now there is far too much "I don't agree with you, so I'm going to call you names or cuss at you!"
I'll ask you both this question I asked somebody else: If Mitch had decided to let Merrick Garland go through the confirmation process, and a bunch of women popped up with made-up accusations at the last minute, and Merrick came out crying and choking up, would you talk about how Merrick is a brave man, and how we should all shed a few tears with him?
Or would you say that Merrick is just another liberal snowflake who needs a safe space?
Draining the swamp is not easy, and this could very well be the last chance we have to do so. A bunch of women making stuff up should be the least of our worries.

It’s difficult not to get choked up when talking about your daughters. I know this.

RE “No Name”...
Haha!! Dunno, but it appears those days are over. And if it is indeed real, well, “Welcome To The War, Lindsay”. They’re NOT your friends on that side of the aisle.
That Southern boy was PISSED today, and it was refreshing to see some fury thrown at the scum with (D) after their names.
He just might be my Hero du Jure....

“...that Rachel Mitchell was much harsher on Kavanaugh than on Ford.”
I didn’t see the Ford testimony, but I imagine it wouldn’t go over too well to be too harsh with her.
Did anybody ask her if over the past 20 years if she had every heard any more about Brett? Ever googled his name? If I had been raped by a guy and it was “seared” in my memory, I would probably have googled him once or twice. And if so, when he had been up for numerous judicial positions - why she didn’t report these events then?

It was Graham who woke up the GOP.. he saw the AZ questioner was a dud.. and then stepped in. I shall remember him for this! This!

I am so glad to hear this. How can Dems live with themselves? I guess if you are ok with wanting the legal right to end a babys life one minute before he is born, falsely accusing in order to destroy the life of a good man is no big deal.

Republicans all over the country no longer put up yard signs because the wacky liberals pull them up and destroy them or steal them. It’s no longer an affordable method of campaigning. We put out very few signs around here. We just revived our Tea Party so we can do the “one on” kind of campaigning for conservatives.

I have been shocked.
Lindsey Graham post McCains death has regrown his balls.
He - and of all people - Megyn Kelly on NBC were Kavanaughs strongest defenders today.
