The Senate Judiciary Committee hears testimony from Supreme Court nominee Judge Brett Kavanaugh and Professor Christine Blasey Ford about her allegations that Judge Kavanaugh sexually assaulted her while the two were teenagers.
Bravery for what..LYING..heck I can come and lie to if I wanted to..this whole thing is a farce..My guess, he doesn’t get confirmed..or the Republicans are doing this so they can come across as “nice” and still confirm him, who knows..like I said before, ALL depends on what Kavanaugh says

Exactly right, although I am unaware of the time for such conclusions to be highlighted (as in closing statements); at least, between now and when Grassley has to kick it up the line with or without a vote. It may be possible for K to provide such conclusions if her final questions to him are well crafted.
Listened to Mitchell for a few minutes. She almost always used an "ok" after receiving hostile-witness Ford's responses to her questions. She may yet pull it out, but that habit earns her a major deduct on the score.

If someone can’t see she’s lying after this, they are fools. Every possible hole in her story has been filled in by her lawyers. When people are telling the truth, they aren’t this slick.. They even gave her an answer for why her friend didn’t remember,,, because she’s ill, mentally ill was the impression...
She was NOT there to cross examine! That would have killed this deal for sure. She was there to get through the day while doing as little damage as possible, which she did a fine job of. No one is going to say anything about the mean nasty R’s beating up on the poor victim now.
The box has been checked. Testimony concluded. Now Kavanaugh, then vote. This is all preliminaries, the only thing that counts is the full Senate vote and those who might swing one way or the other will do so for purely political reasons, our out of hatred for Trump. Nothing Ford says will matter one iota.
No, she is an expert. She will tell the problems to Collins and Murcowski and those are the ones who matter. I think the case for a censure again Finestein was cemented.

The prosecutor also indicted Ford’s handlers in exposing her to this process rather than the standard way. I think she made a powerful case for Ford being a pawn of the left.

She didn’t make a powerful case about ANYTHING.
She made no statements - drew no conclusions - and only presented touchy-feely questions which, at best, allowed Ford to hang herself. Thing is, everyone was already so overtaken with emotion because (sniff) she’s so valiant and brave and crying and upset and everything that there’s no WAY anyone’s going to actually listen to what she was saying in response to Michell and realize she was full of it.
Sorry. I’m not one of those sky-is-falling types, generally, but I really wanted to go a lot better than it did. Kavanaugh needs to be forceful and convincing - but I just don’t think it’s in his personality. We’ll see in 45 minutes, I guess...
Yup. If Kavanaugh doesn't get confirmed, the mid-terms are NOT gonna be pretty for the GOP.
No rabbit pulled out of the GOP hat like so many said would be coming. Now Kavanaugh will be thrown to the lions.
I am thoroughly disgusted.
I think the summary of the testimony to now is that the GOP was fair and completely opposite what we are fixing to see from the Dems. If the votes are there, I think this is a very good strategy. If the votes aren't there, it will be forever second guessed.
