The Senate Judiciary Committee hears testimony from Supreme Court nominee Judge Brett Kavanaugh and Professor Christine Blasey Ford about her allegations that Judge Kavanaugh sexually assaulted her while the two were teenagers.

With that said, the optics do not look good if you have an independent mind. This is about 3 or 4 Senators, not your sensibilities or the result from this committee.

Arlen Specter spent the rest of his miserable life unnecessarily apologizing for the tough (but fair) questions he asked Anita Hill in ‘91. And Republicans have been ..spooked ever since. Now that’s compounded by the fear of inflaming the “me too” movement and alienating women voters in general right before the midterms. Establishment RINOs have oozed fear for decades.
