Watching Fox News. Just had a live interview with Rick Leventhal in Wilmington. Has video of looters (the usual perp types) at a Family Dollar and someone yelled at him "where are the police? Our taxes pay for them?." Leventhal contacted the police and they responded back that it was a "management decision" not to respond (their response was shown on the story)

Your link does not mention anything related to the title.
This is why people dont want to leave. LEO cant have it both ways. If they want people to be comfortable with leaving, then they damned well better protect their homes from looting.
The link has been requested to be changed.
Remember that the Koreans made a point of swapping weapons frequently, so none could be tied to any particular person. They also, to a man, SAID NOTHING. Police did try to prosecute, but were thwarted.
Thank you!
One guy on that twitter feed wrote: “Always some evil folks like you around, these people are in a desperate situation. Family Dollar recognizes this and understands.”
Desperate situation? A few days of wind gusts, rain, and spotty flooding means that people can loot a store? It’s been about two days. Only seven people have died across the whole region. If people are flooded out their immediate priority is to get out of the area not to loot the store.
But tens of thousands will die over the coming months. //sarc
So, are the Brunswick country cops gonna release those Afro-looters they caught, along with the cracker Harris brothers? Just say...”Never mind, have a good day.”?
Reading the comments is enlightening and depressing at the same time.
Being stupid and not preparing is not a license to steal.
Not morons, quite the contrary. The store merchandise is covered dollar for dollar isn’t it, equivalent to 100% sales? On the other hand a shooting on their property would provoke a lawsuit which may exhaust their insurance coverage even if they won it, wouldn’t it?
Thanks in advance for correction and insight.
Democrat voters need to be allowed to redistribute.
Thats what its all about.
Stand down. Why am I not surprised.
Sometimes there are nice clearance items at Dollar Stores. The one by me has biscotti cookies from Italy or like coconut milk from Korea. One time I got a packet of jerk chicken rub for 25 cents. Totally awesome stuff and when I went back to get more it was all gone and never had returned. The downside of those specialty clearance products on the cheap.
Lousy headline. Family Dollar asked them not to do anything about it. Thats hardly a stand down order
Good luck on the insurance claim.
The cat is out of the bag.
I’m the manager of my car ... do I have the same authority to ask traffic cops to not enforce the law w.r.t. my driving?
Kind of like arson isn’t it? It sure aint an act of God.
Actually he just said that the police did step in and arrested 6 looters.
Your analogy doesnt work
Oh, yes, those stores have many foreign items that are wonderful! I get my British digestive biscuits from them for $1.99. At my local supermarket, they sell for 2-3 dollars more. Italian lady fingers to make a good trifle or tiramasu! And, yes, they clear out quick: people are not stupid, lol.
