Thank you for the thread and thank all of you who kept me up-to-date while I was at the office. I’m really not allowed to read the internet much at work but, thanks to you all, I had to read what was going on. All I felt/still feel is anger, embarrassment, disgust, along with such sadness for Kavanaugh’s poor children who entered the room happy and proud, then had to be escorted out. I have always divided the Left into three groups:

• The Hardcore: They don't buy into the liberal crap, they know it is all about power and control.
• The True Believers: These are the fever-eyed, spittle-lipped cannon fodder of the Left. The Code Pinkos, the truly stupid ones.
• The Good Hearted Liberals: These are often good people with good intentions, but are misinformed or malinformed. Some of them become conservatives, some of them won't listen, but they are different from the "True Believers" in a key way: their ideology isn't everything for them.

  These "Good Hearted Liberals" are the kind of sensible and patriotic people you alluded to in your post who are becoming fewer by the day. On the bad side, many of them are becoming "True Believers", but on the good side, there are an increasing number (not sure how much, but it does appear to be increasing) who are joining the ranks of liberals who begin to recognize the Left is not their friend. These are the #WalkAway people.

Yes. There are still some of the ‘Good Hearted Liberals’ in my personal circle. I keep hoping that they exert influence upon their friends and families.

I’m in a workplace where everyone but myself and perhaps one other is a liberal Democrat. I heard some snark when Trump was first elected - but I haven’t heard any since.

I believe that things on the ground are changing, despite the manufactured drama that we witnessed in the peanut gallery today.
