Former Alaska governor Sarah Palin, who was Sen. John McCain (R-AZ)s running mate in the 2008 presidential election, has been excluded from his funeral. Breitbart News has independently confirmed an earlier report in People magazine, which reported that Palin was not sent an invitation, and was told through intermediaries to stay away from the ceremony.
McCain fundraiser Carla Eudy confirmed to People that Palin had not been invited possibly, People speculated, at the behest of the McCain family.
The news comes on the tenth anniversary of the date in 2008 when Palin was announced as McCains pick for Vice President.
Palin now joins President Donald Trump on the list of those barred from the funeral.
But unlike Trump, Palin never feuded with McCain and never criticized him.
When news broke on Saturday of McCains passing, Palin said: Today we lost an American original. Sen. John McCain was a maverick and a fighter, never afraid to stand for his beliefs. John never took the easy path in life and through sacrifice and suffering he inspired others to serve something greater than self.
John McCain was my friend. I will remember the good times. My family and I send prayers for Cindy and the McCain family.

Now I know this, it seems to me if I had accepted an invitation to attend or speak, I would have to politely withdraw my acceptance.
The mirror image of the Paul Wellstone memorial extravaganza.
“All this week has done has further cemented his legacy as a petty, self-absorbed a-hole.”

A rich, elitist garbage family.
You nailed it.
My wife made an astute observation: McCain acted this way because Sarah Palin was more beloved and popular than he was; he knew it and he couldn't stand for it.
John McCain was a narcissist to the end and beyond. It was always about him, not America, not Arizona, not the people who elected him to office to serve THEM, it was always, only, ever about him!
"The memory of the righteous is blessed, but the NAME of the WICKED WILL ROT." (Proverbs 10:7, emphasis added)
Wouldn’t it be great if in 2020 Trump drop Pence and added Palin?-)
“McCain family keeping it as classy in death as he was in life.”
Seeing as he deliberately trashed everyone who voted for him to appease our domestic enemies and enrich himself, I’m overjoyed to have also been excluded from Ace McCain’s Paul Wellstone moment.
“She is the only reason I voted for your sorry ass, McCain!”
I feel the same way.
I believe it. The guy was an egocentric snake.
He always passed himself off as a military expert.
Just because you are a racing car driver doesn’t necessarily make you an automotive engineer.
.
Another similarity is that they both had tons of Democrats in attendance and few if any conservative Republicans.
I wonder if Dennis DeConcini and Donald Riegle the only remaining members of the Keating five were allowed to attend.
I never thought of that, but seeing how bizarre (and deeply corrupt the government of our country is, that could certainly be true.

Yes........
Sarah Palin may not have been the best choice for a VP running mate, and maybe her folky simple style was easy game for the East Coast sharks, but she always seemed to me to be a genuine, decent, honest, and careful person. A solid Christian woman with admirable values.
Seems to me that McCain used her as a tool for his own political schemes, but even her sweetheart personality could not balance his nasty and bitter personality.
He lost NOT because of her, but because he comes across as a loose cannon with a bad temper. Nevertheless, that didn’t stop him from throwing her under the bus, and then bitch slapping her from beyond the grave.
Unbelievable.

NOT careful (which I should have been with my typing)
