Florida gubernatorial candidate Ron DeSantis did an interview with Fox News on Wednesday where he used a um, questionable choice of words when talking about his Democratic opponent, Andrew Gillum.
As DeSantis spoke to Sandra Smith about how he secured the Republican Party nomination last night, he was asked how he plans to beat Gillum now that theyre about to go head-to-head. Since the Tallahassee mayor is campaigning on progressive policies with support from Bernie Sanders, DeSantis acknowledged Gillam as an articulate spokesman for those far left views who moved forward with more charisma than other candidates in the democratic primaries.

a grease monkey is only black?
Raccoon?
Ron DeSantis needs to get this monkey off his back immediately
monkey see, monkey do is racist too?
.
Whoever has the FR “Depends” consession is going to get rich from all the diaper changes here.
.
Good. End of story, I hope.
They were going to play the race card eventually... they shot their wad right out of the gate....
OF course nothing racist was meant by it, but it won’t matter, because NARRATIVE, not common sense matters..
Hey Hey We're the Monkeys
Are you kidding?
Do some of you have an argument outside of tossing some cheap slaps?
If monkey this up is racist, then I’ll be a monkey’s uncle.
As they say, do it by setting an example. We never used cuss words, and we never smoked. They copied it!
Very
He needs to learn to be more niggardly with his colloquialisms.
.
It’s your bed wetting that is offensive.

Political correctness has gotten way out of hand. One time I was watching the horse race channel and some announcer was talking about some jockey. He said, “He lived in Saudi Arabia where he was a Camel Jockey.” He immediately restated his words, “He was a jockey that rode camels.”
Another time I heard one of the hosts of some poker tournament say, “He is the Tiger Woods of Poker!” Referring to Phil Ivey who is a black poker player. He probably got in a lot of trouble for that one.
DeSantis should just say I said nothing improper. As far as I know the word monkey is still in the dictionary!
Separately, this morning, I heard DeSantis proclaim that “that dog won’t hunt,” when referring to his new RAT opponent and his progressive agenda.
Wish that had been the quote of the day.
Have to agree with others on this thread that DeSantis has now joined Roseanne in saying something equally stupid!
Hope he can choose his words more carefully during the next ten weeks.
*GASP*
They may take my moniker but that cannot take my soul! The Soul of Monkey Face will haunt them all!
(Was that scary enough?)
It’s not a question of me being offended. It’s about winning the election.
Are saying that if you had been his consultant and he had come to you, you would have said, sure, go ahead if you want?
Do you think DeSantis, if he had a do-over, would choose to say it again? Do you think he and his campaign are happy today? Do you think his donors are?
He just better never, never, never apologize for this.
