The FBI has fired Peter Strzok over ant-Trump text messages he exchanged with his lover during the 2016 presidential campaign, Strzok's lawyer confirmed Monday.

Needed to keep him there ‘til he completed answering any questions before committees and working with “internal investigation,” as I understand it.
Unlike “Andy, who wanted to stay long enough to ‘retire with full benefits,’” getting let go “for cause,” doesn’t provide any such golden parachute.

Update from CNBC:
•The FBI has fired Peter Strzok over anti-Trump text messages he exchanged with his lover during the 2016 presidential campaign, Strzok’s lawyer Aitan Goelman confirmed Monday.
•Strzok, who led the FBI’s investigation into Russia’s interference in the 2016 election, was fired on Friday on the orders of FBI Deputy Director David L. Bowdich, Goelman said.
•”This decision should be deeply troubling to all Americans,” Goelman said in a statement Monday.

Watching Strzok’s performance, I couldn’t help but feel he was used by Brennan, Clapper and Comey
He just doesn’t have the self-control borne from necessity you see among many top bureaucrats and politicians, and his excessive self-esteem, grandiose views of himself and his position in history - to me indicate a lower-level intellect.
its only own opinion, but when Brennan, Clapper and others were looking around for an easily-duped patsy to push their coup forward, they found their guy in Strzok.
