I ask only because NYM just published a 7,200-word opus that reads like a deranged love letter to the American Native senator from Massachusetts, seeking to turn an old, wrinkled leftist with even older, more wrinkled leftist ideas into the fresh young face for America in 2020.

Ha, including "just" here is either a common rookie mistake or a Freudian slip. As written, it is a statement that Warren is indeed a braying silver-haired pol, but one who has other attributes as well. (Cf. "it's not just a floor wax, it's a dessert topping!")

I read the New York Magazine article yesterday. What caught my eye was the report that it was very hot in Natick on July 7 or 8, the weekend after July 4th. I checked. The high temperature was 82F - the average for July around Natick. If you have to exaggerate the temperature, what are the odds that anything else in the story is true?
