President Trump said Tuesday that he misspoke when he said he doesn’t see why Russia would have meddled in the 2016 presidential election, clarifying that he accepts the U.S. intelligence community’s findings of election interference.
At the White House on Tuesday, the president told reporters that he meant he doesn't see why Russia "wouldn't" be responsible.
In Helsinki, speaking at a press conference next to Vladimir Putin a day earlier, Trump had said he doesn't "see any reason why" Russia would be behind election meddling.

Everybody seems to forget that the hacking of the DNC computers revealed that Hillary and her cronies in the DNC

Now, I’m no fan of that Socialist sack’o’shit, Sanders, but this (once again) proved Hillary’s corruption. The minute that this hit the news, the media and the Rats started with this “Russia, Russia, Russia” stuff.
Frankly, while I have few doubts that the Russians have attempted to spy on us and disrupt confidence in our elections (of course they did - they’ve done it to us for decades, and we’ve done similar things to them. EVERY sovereign nation does this sort of thing - and only naive idiots don’t understand this), I believe that the “hacking” of the DNC computers was an inside job. I saw an analysis (don’t remember where I saw it) that concluded that the ONLY way to have downloaded the data as fast as the server said it was downloaded, was via a thumb drive. Internet downloading would have been WAY too slow...meaning that it was an inside job.
WRT Trump and his handling of this matter, I believe that in order to best proceed he should:
1) Acknowledge that the USSR and Russia have been an adversary of this country for about 100 years;
2) Remind everyone (as he did yesterday) that the vast majority of deliverable nukes are owned by our 2 nations, and most of those are pointed at each other;
3) Remind everyone that it would definitely be a better state of affairs if said nukes pointing at each other were never used; and
4) That the best way to do that is to talk with the Russians - whether we like them or their policies, or not - and to initially take some baby steps toward improving our relations with a few simple agreements that will benefit both sides and highlight our common interests.
If he does that, then he’ll be fine. I dread that he may become like so many other Presidents, enthralled with a Soviet/Russian leader to the point of trusting them to not stick a knife in our backs at every opportunity. I know, he’s not that naive, and doesn’t give a damn about his public image so long as he can achieve his goals...but there’s always that siren song, and many that work for him are addicted to it.

The FBI has had “the server” all along. The server isn’t infact a single server but hundreds of servers - most of them ‘in the cloud’ which means distributed globally.
The FBI has never had the physical server, nor would there be any point to that. What they have had are ‘images’ of the servers which is exactly what anyone would want to properly investigate the crime.
The whole “where is the server” question is a big fat red herring and I don’t know why people are pursuing it.

Yeah I agree, time to move on. I wish he had not given them the gaff but if he even is approached on it again he should simply state, I already explained that, I maned up I made a misstatement and then just move on.

We all knew what he meant. Nobody knows and nobody can prove anything. I am reminded of the most colossal misspeak in my life time when Niel Armstrong was stepping on the moon said “ one small step for man (sic) , one giant leap for mankind.” That is a redundant mess but it is actually repeated as if it was correct. It obviously should have been “one small step for A man” He was totally forgiven and dumb people never knew the difference.
Trump corrected an OBVIOUSLY in full context misspoke and removed all doubt and presented a marvelous over all view of a hugely important week in which the Russian Summit was the third leg and finally reopened much needed dialog for peace in the world with that nuclear power. There was no collusion. there was “no American involvement” in the so called “indictments” stated by Rosenstien himself who today faces impeachment for withholding documents from the oversight committees. The DNC servers were unbelievably”destroyed” so any image cannot be confirmed against the Source hard drives. It is all theater. By the way, Our president sets foreign policy, not the press, rinos, gope or leftists.

As for Napolitano, what a disappointment he has become.
If there is an object lesson in it for Trump, it’s a reminder that he is like Julius Caesar in the Roman Senate - he has no one he can really count on in D.C. They will all fly for the hills in a flash. There will be no defense from anyone there.
Perhaps after this past week, he will be reminded of that. They managed to turn what should have been a plus week into a big mess, they got an inch and took a mile, they even set him up (his “own” DOJ set him up). He just needs to always remember that no one in D.C. will have his back...except to plunge the knife in.

I agree with a previous comment.. it would have been best to let it ride out.. this will be all they talk about now.. and my TV is off except for Hannity and maybe Tucker.
