A steering committee for a Marjory Stoneman Douglas donation fund approved a measure Monday allowing every person who was on the schools campus at the time of the Florida shooting to be eligible to receive financial compensation.
The committee settled upon an allocation formula consisting of four levels of compensation based on the severity of those effected in the Parkland massacre, reported The Sun Sentinel. The next of kin for the 17 killed will each receive $400,000. The 18 gunshot victims will receive varying amounts with outpatients receiving $35,000 and inpatient payouts dependent on the length of the hospital stay. Anyone who was in the building at the time the shooting occurred will receive $2,500. Anyone else who was on the campus will receive $1,000.

"Anyone else who was on the campus"? Verified how? The cop that didn't go in was on campus. Does he get an extra $1,000 to add to his $8,000/mth pension? What about those that identify with those that were on campus? Yeah, I see some possible issues with this.

So Boss Hogg only gets $1000 rather than $2500?

I had to put up with seeing Camera Hogg, his queer buddy, the lesbian and the other freaks running their mouths. How much do I get?

As long as it is not tax money— that’s fine. Actually it is cheaper and the carnage would have been far less isf all teachers were packing heat!!

I remember a Bus crash in Philly...bus capacity was less than the number of lawsuits. Those folks run to the bus for crashes.

Boss Hogg wasn't even on campus. He was cutting classes that day. When Hogg heard about the shooting, he rode his bicycle to school to get in on the action.
If he collects one penny then it is an outrage. Everybody who was on campus at the time of the shooting gets at least $1000. Everyone gets a trophy.

“Parkland Students To Receive Payouts For Shooting”
Why? Wish I could get a payout for every stroke of bad luck that I’ve had. The lousy county and city governments should pay if anybody should and that peckerhead who went along with the Obama scheme should be cleaned out.

Didn’t he say when he heard about it he got on his bike and rode up to campus?

    ugggh.
CBS News mangled a news article and made an unclear reference in an early article. Hogg was at the school in a different building when the shooting occurred. He went home. Later that afternoon, he rode his bicycle back to school to get interviews.
There’s plenty wrong with the numbskull, but we have to quit getting baited into this.
The rest of your commentary is spot-on.

Didnt he say when he heard about it he got on his bike and rode up to campus?
Nope. He was at the school in a completely different building during the shooting, and went home at the end of the evacuation. He later went back to the school on his bike and collected interviews.
Journalists can’t write coherently, which led to the misunderstanding.
It’s still silly to give him more free money.
