Full Title: Powerful GOP Rep. Jim Jordan accused of turning blind eye to sexual abuse as Ohio State wrestling coach
Rep. Jim Jordan, the powerful Republican congressman from Ohio, is being accused by former wrestlers he coached more than two decades ago at Ohio State University of failing to stop the team doctor from molesting them and other students.
The university announced in April that it was investigating accusations that Dr. Richard Strauss, who died in 2005, abused team members when he was the team doctor from the mid-1970s to late 1990s.
Jordan, who was assistant wrestling coach at the university from 1986 to 1994, has repeatedly said he knew nothing of the abuse until former students began speaking out this spring, and continued to deny it on Tuesday. His denials, however, have been met with skepticism and anger from some former members of the wrestling team.

Former head coach Russ Hellickson, Jordan's mentor, said in a recent video — made by Mike DiSabato, a former wrestler — that Hellickson had told Strauss that he was being too "hands on” with students.
DiSabato, whose allegations against Strauss prompted Ohio State to open its investigation, called Jordan a “liar.”
“I considered Jim Jordan a friend,” DiSabato said. “But at the end of the day, he is absolutely lying if he says he doesn’t know what was going on.”
DiSabato said he reached out to Jordan this year, before going to the university, to tell Jordan that he planned to go public with his allegations. Jordan told him to “please leave me out of it,” DiSabato said. “He asked me not to get him involved.”

Proving a doctors abuse is difficult.
If the abuse was not reported to him and he did not witness it (and abusers seldom do it when witnesses are watching), how is he responsible?

Was just pointing out the similarity of the ‘charges’ etc and commenting that the method ‘worked’ once and people were outraged, now just leave out a fact or two or add some crap and people will be further outraged since it sounds similar..
Meanwhile HERO B Frank ran a male brothel (or allowed it to operate) from his basement and the Ds kept ‘promoting’ and reelecting him.

And nothing done about it and Strauss has died? An allegation that at least is 24 years old that Jordan should have done something that remains to be proven what exactly it is that he should have done 24 years ago.
Jordan was an assistant coach? Who was the head coach? There were others that would have had more responsibility? Head coach, director, others? It was common knowledge and nothing done about it? Absolutely ridiculous.It’s shot full of holes.
That was my first thought; you mean that no wrestler ever cleaned the doc's clock, or that they were all queer so no harm?
He was a 2X national champ, a great wrestler, as his sons and nephews.

Fake news. Even the lightest weight class could have kicked the doctor’s butt. I know I would have snapped him like a twig if the doc did anything inappropriate. My coach would have dragged him down the mountain. The stones are like razor blades.
I guess what counts the most is the record of the OSU Wrestling Team back then...
