Full Title: Powerful GOP Rep. Jim Jordan accused of turning blind eye to sexual abuse as Ohio State wrestling coach

Rep. Jim Jordan, the powerful Republican congressman from Ohio, is being accused by former wrestlers he coached more than two decades ago at Ohio State University of failing to stop the team doctor from molesting them and other students.

The university announced in April that it was investigating accusations that Dr. Richard Strauss, who died in 2005, abused team members when he was the team doctor from the mid-1970s to late 1990s.

Jordan, who was assistant wrestling coach at the university from 1986 to 1994, has repeatedly said he knew nothing of the abuse until former students began speaking out this spring, and continued to deny it on Tuesday. His denials, however, have been met with skepticism and anger from some former members of the wrestling team.

Sex abuse was 'common knowledge' Rep. Jordan ignored, say Ohio State wrestlers JUL.03.201804:07 Three former wrestlers told NBC News that it was common knowledge that Strauss showered regularly with the students and inappropriately touched them during appointments, and said it would have been impossible for Jordan to be unaware; one wrestler said he told Jordan directly about the abuse.

Former head coach Russ Hellickson, Jordan's mentor, said in a recent video — made by Mike DiSabato, a former wrestler — that Hellickson had told Strauss that he was being too "hands on” with students.

DiSabato, whose allegations against Strauss prompted Ohio State to open its investigation, called Jordan a “liar.”

“I considered Jim Jordan a friend,” DiSabato said. “But at the end of the day, he is absolutely lying if he says he doesn’t know what was going on.”

DiSabato said he reached out to Jordan this year, before going to the university, to tell Jordan that he planned to go public with his allegations. Jordan told him to “please leave me out of it,” DiSabato said. “He asked me not to get him involved.”

Okay, these are college student males who are what, too afraid to speak up about the abuse when it was happening? If it had happened to me, I would have told him that if he ever touches me that will be the last thing he ever touches.

I'd be embarrassed as hell if I was part of the OSU wrestling program right now.

These are the kinda guys were talking about.

Tough mothers.

I bet tomorrow Schumer, Naxie and Pelosi will be demanding Jordan resign. Repubs will put up a bit of fake fight then cave to their demands.

Rosenstein people, someone got to one of the wrestlers to scream Jim knew. It’s all it takes, accusation nowadays.

Right on time with Ryan. Next Schumer, Pelosi and Maxie will demand Jordan resign. Shortly thereafter, Repubics will cave and demand it as well.

Jordan went after Rosenstein and wham this happens. I swear the DOJ, FBI and CIA have jackets on every member in Congress. They have something on Gowdy too.

Of all teams I think wrestlers could handle it themselves.

Family was a wrestling dynasty at OSU. I think it was this one who used to sell Chesterton seals. Best seals in the chemical pumping business.

Actually, I am sure every member of the family must think they were given dispensation from the Pope himself, because they could be gay, cheaters, liars, abortionists druggies, and thieves and go every Sunday to church and get the priests blessings to go out and repeat their BS the next week.

This is why he did not seek the speakership when Boehner stepped down. I knew there was some reason why, and now it has emerged. Same kind of problem as existed at Ped State and at Michigan State.

Dennis Hastert was a wrestling coach.

Just saying.

Just another smear. Interesting that it comes just when he’s running for Speaker. They would much rather have Kevin McCarthy, a RINO who would roll over for whatever the lefties want.

All these years later? When the doctor is dead adn can’t possibly defend himself?

WRESTLERS? Really?

Sure, they’re serious allegations. Sure they are. Uncorroborated ones, at best. All these years and now this. Really?

Not only does Ryan need a punch in his mouth, his spokesman needs to experience, enhanced interrogation techniques. And the alleged “accusers” need to be strapped to a board, a towel over their mouths and copious amounts of water poured over their face, for a very very very long time. Even after they admit that it’s all BS and provide the name(s) of their puppet masters.

And you’re 100% positive that these allegations are true? You have access to the interviews and investigative paperwork detailing what went on?

Looks like Jordan may have some trouble with the truth. http://www.dispatch.com/news/20180703/lawyers-for-ohio-state-contradict-jim-jordans-claim-hes-not-been-contacted

All that article says is that Jordan said the lawyers for this guy never contacted him for an interview. The lawyers even admit they only contacted his office by email and phone. His office probably gets hundreds of emails and phone calls a day. The calls are handled by interns and the emails usually go to an auotmated system that sends out form letters ( if you have ever emailed your congressman, you know what I am talking about ). If this were a competent attorney, they would have sent him a registered letter from the law firm.

So staffers don’t pass along calls and emails? My boss would kill me if I didn’t.

So, let’s see if I’ve got this straight.

1) A doc working for Ohio State was getting too handsy with wrestlers. And not a single one of them knocked his teeth down his throat or said anything even 13 years after he was dead.

2) A former wrestler is now coming out and saying he was molested and told the coach, who said he’d handle it, and if he did or didn’t it’s on the coach.

3) Jim Jordan has gone all this time without a single shred of claims of impropriety and suddenly, as he’s looking to become the next speaker, this comes out of the woodwork?

4) Was Jim Jordan the coach? No. Did the coach tell EVERYONE what was going on? No. Obviously, because the doc would have been brought up on charges before he died.

So, this is a story why? This is grade A manure from a huge male bovine.

The solution is to kill the accuser.

A dead presstitute or two will stop this salacious character assasination. The deaths are long over due

Malicious Free Speech is intolerable

We don’t know what the doc was BEFORE 2005, but now, he’s a solid democrat.
