MEXICO CITY (Reuters)-Mexicans voted overwhelmingly for anti-establishment outsider Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador in Sunday's presidential election, exit polls showed, betting a leftward turn in government could end the corruption and violence that has blighted the country.
One exit poll by polling firm Parametria showed Lopez-Obrador, a former Mexico City mayor, winning between 53 percent and 59 percent of the vote, far ahead of his two main rivals from Mexico's traditional ruling parties....

You can see it as an anti-Trump thing, the MSM will spin it big in the hours ahead as repudiation of Trump, but the winner was as much an outsider in Mexican politics as Trump was in US politics in 2016 so that would be my take.
This is why Mexicans and other Hispanics are so valued by the Democrats. It’s how they can be counted on to vote.
The “winner” is a Chavista who is being elected because the Mexicans have tried everyone else but they were too corrupt. He has spoken of pardoning the drug cartels and refusing to fight the heavily armed Narcos using the military. They’ll hand it back to the regular law enforcement... who themselves are also the biggest gangs.

No surprise. Mexicans are caught between very corrupt statist crony capitalists and the Marxists. Among and between them all is huge crime levels - like over 100 political candidates in Mexico assassinated (they called it “murdered”) in the past not so many months.

This guy did say he won’t fight the drug dealers because he would be fighting the USA’s war but he did say if the US wants to stop drug dealers it should put its own army on the southern border.
I support the US Army on the border now to seal it off from illegals and anything else coming across.
