While I think Levin was the most egregious, there were others who mocked DJT as well when it was fashionable.

Case in point was Rush - as then Mr. Trump announced his candidacy, Rush aired it but also dis a periodic but frequent slow and drawn out: “ha-ha-ha-ha”, clearly communicating to the listeners that Rush considered this to be a joke.

Now, of course, he gives the impression he was on board from the beginning.

They all take their marching orders from the Republican party bosses. Some just hide it better.

For those who don’t believe that, just look at what they DON’T comment on; what they DON’T report. That includes FOX as well.

I personally have never been able to bear him. Ranting about his significance incessantly, as so many radio talk show hosts do.

All I am saying is that as a general prunciple it is counterproductive to never let such laggars onto the back on the Trump train. By saying we must “never forget”, however, I mean he is never to be trusted, as he is probably on the train primarily in attempt not to lose the majority of his original listener base.

Don’t forget Rush calling us Trumpetts and would give a snarky comment up until he was nominated.

Okay, I appreciate the correction.

When you referenced “real NeverTrumpers” like Romney, it caused me to ascertain you didn’t think Levin was in that group.

You did touch on him early on in the post. Perhaps you thought it was more clear than I perceived it to be.

He was never Trump - which means pro-Hillary - up until Sept 7. Don’t trust him.

I will freely admit that Trump was my last choice in the primaries

Who was your first choice, genius? I bet you're a Kasich man. Or was it Jim Gilmore? I bet he really turned your crank.

And many Freepers ideological intransigence got us Elena Kagan and the Wise Latina. What’s your point?

Based on his appointments while governor of Massachusetts and his overall political squishiness, it is unlikely Myth would have appointed anyone that much better. He would have gone with the path of least resistance and nominated someone who the Democrats would have praised and conservatives hated and who would have "grown" in office to become a regular vote with the liberal wing of the USSC.

I appreciate what you are saying, and it makes some sense.

Here’s my problem. If we let the guy back in with open arms, what happens when Trump makes his first big mistake?

It’s my take that Levin will come unglued, he will take that opportunity to claim vindication, and he’ll attack Trump all over again with vigor.

Now while he might be right, how much damage will he do to Trump so that Trump won’t be able to push through other things we must get done? How much will he hurt his re-election chances, or our chances to pick up seats in the mid-terms, or at another critical point. What if it’s six months before the 2020 general election? Will he then spend months on end trashing him and telling us he told us so then?

I don’t trust the guy. There are plenty of other people we can trust that will do a good job of keeping Trump in line.

We just don’t need Levin. He’s an unforced error we should avoid > IMO.

I don’t. But unlike Levin, Rush was over it several weeks after Trump secured the nomination and became a full supporter. Levin was still trashing Trump for a full year after the election.

Of course two bit phony Markie conveniently forgets HIS NeverTrump days and the enablers on Faux News help him wipe his mind clean of those days. If he wasn’t a backstabber would he have been brought into the Radio Hall of Fame?

So it didn’t bother you that he was still trashing Trump hourly on his show from April when Trump obtained the delegates he needed until September 11th or so?

Can you remind me again, who that might have been helping at that point?

There was only one alternative.

Nah, that sort of thing shouldn’t bother us. What am I thinking?

That’s true. But that still isn’t the same thing as affirmatively preferring that Hillary win the election.

If Hillary were president right now, we would likely be irradiated.

We wouldn’t have survived this long. There would have been a nuclear detonation on US Soil by now. The UN blue helmets would be here. There would be no electricity or SCOTUS.

In addition if I remember correctly, even Michelle Malkin took a trip back to her old stomping grounds in Southern Jersey to get dirt on what a ‘bad’ guy Donald Trump was and how he hurt the jersey area.

While her ‘eminent domain’ complaint was legitimate (imo), Trump did follow protocol and went through the proper channels before getting the land. The courts allowed it - but Michelle knew her followers would dismiss that and look at Mr. Trump with a jaundiced eye.

The Donald and We the People defeated not only the left, but the RINO sellouts as well!

Good point. She and McCain were singing praises of a WWIII with Russia in the middle or later of 2016.

And if any other republican candidate got elected, they would either be backstabbing us(bush/rubio etc) or be getting walked all over(bush, carson).

We got the president we needed and it’s hard to believe anyone who calls themselves a conservative can’t see that by now.(rinos, mormons)

I don’t think I encourage open arms. Good not to forget, and so reminders such as here are good.

I’m just saying if we completely ostracize all those who started on the other side, we won’t be allowing the movement to grow. And, someone like Levin of course can influence many more people who might likewise follow him in his at least outward shift.

Very few Freepers supported Trump’s candidacy, but now two years later everyone had his back from the get go...riiight and I bet you marched at Selma too. Successful campaigns in politics and war are about building coalitions, and DJT has done that. Mark Levin has a powerful pulpit and I’m glad for it.

Know what? His job, 24/7, is to get his punditry right. He got the biggest political decision, maybe in the last 50 years, dead wrong.

Well placed criticism!

But forgiveness is a Christian thing.
