I personally have never been able to bear him. Ranting about his significance incessantly, as so many radio talk show hosts do.
All I am saying is that as a general prunciple it is counterproductive to never let such laggars onto the back on the Trump train. By saying we must “never forget”, however, I mean he is never to be trusted, as he is probably on the train primarily in attempt not to lose the majority of his original listener base.
I appreciate what you are saying, and it makes some sense.
Here’s my problem. If we let the guy back in with open arms, what happens when Trump makes his first big mistake?
It’s my take that Levin will come unglued, he will take that opportunity to claim vindication, and he’ll attack Trump all over again with vigor.
Now while he might be right, how much damage will he do to Trump so that Trump won’t be able to push through other things we must get done? How much will he hurt his re-election chances, or our chances to pick up seats in the mid-terms, or at another critical point. What if it’s six months before the 2020 general election? Will he then spend months on end trashing him and telling us he told us so then?
I don’t trust the guy. There are plenty of other people we can trust that will do a good job of keeping Trump in line.
We just don’t need Levin. He’s an unforced error we should avoid > IMO.
