Rasmussen Poll Shows Media blitz on border children separations appears to have failed

And yet the Rasmussen poll yesterday showed:

When families are arrested and separated after attempting to enter the United States illegally, 54% of Likely U.S. Voters say the parents are more to blame for breaking the law. The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone and online survey finds that only 35% believe the federal government is more to blame for enforcing the law. Eleven percent (11%) are not sure. To help understand the current political debate over the children issue, a closer look shows that 82% of Republicans and 56% of voters not affiliated with either major political party feel the parents are more to blame for breaking the law. But 60% of Democrats say the government is more to blame for enforcing the law.

Seventy-five percent (75%) of Democrats think the Trump administration is too aggressive in trying to stop the flow of illegal immigrants into the United States, a view shared by only 23% of Republicans and a plurality (46%) of unaffiliated voters.

Among all voters, 49% say the administration is too aggressive trying to stop illegal immigration. Twenty-five percent (25%) say it’s not aggressive enough, while 21% view the administration’s policies as about right.

Liberals can say what they want about Trump, but for the most part, he has the same views today as he had decades ago, which is far more than we can say about the leaders of their party.

For example, back in 2005, then Senator Barack Obama had much different opinion about illegals, stating, “We are a generous and welcoming people here in the United States, but those who enter the country illegally and those who employ them disrespect the rule of law and they are showing disregard for those who are following the law.”

He further stated, “We simply cannot allow people to pour into the United States undetected, undocumented, unchecked, and circumventing the line of people who are waiting patiently, diligently, and lawfully to become immigrants in this country.”

I can hear liberals now, saying there is no way their fearless leader every said something like that! After all, he is the one that put DACA on the books. Only problem is, there is video proof he actually said it…

Correct me if I am wrong, but I don’t recall anyone ever calling Obama a racist after he made that statement.

And Chuck Schumer is no better. During a conference in 2009, Schumer was adamantly against illegal immigrants.

At the 6th Annual Immigration Law and Policy Conference, he stated, “People who enter the United States without our permission are illegal aliens and illegal aliens should not be treated the same as people who entered the U.S. legally.”

He further stated, “When we use phrases like undocumented workers, we convey a message to the American people that their government is not serious about combatting illegal immigration, which the American people overwhelmingly oppose.”

Once again, we have a Democrat that has absolutely shredded Trump over his immigration policies, yet he once had that very same hardline stance.

Furthermore, he even made note that the majority of Americans wanted the illegal immigration issue fixed in this country.

Today, though, he suddenly claims the overwhelming majority of Americans want to open our borders and let everyone in the country.

So why the change by both Obama and Schumer? One word: votes. Actually, two words: votes and Trump.

Those two videos explain everything you need to know as to why Americans cannot trust or believe a word out of establishment politicians.

They simply go with the flow and feelings of the moment. If it will get them votes in an election, they will sell their own mother down the line.

When Hillary Clinton was gearing up for a presidential run, she argued children of illegal immigrants aren’t entitled to stay in the United States.

“Should they [children] be able to stay here? It’s safer,” CNN anchor Christiane Amanpour asked during a 2014 interview.

“It may be safer, but that’s not the answer,” Clinton said. “We need to provide more border security in southern Mexico. They should be sent back as soon as it can be determined who the responsible adults in their families are. All of them who can be should be reunited with their families,” she continued. “We have to send a clear message: just because your child gets across the border, doesn’t mean your child gets to stay. We don’t want to send a message that is contrary to our laws or that will encourage more children to make that dangerous journey.”

President Obama made the same argument then that President Donald Trump has been making about the problems with current immigration law. “Do not send your children to the border,” Obama said. “The problem is that under current law, once those kids come across the border, there is a system in which we’re supposed to process them, take care of them until we can send them back.”

Rachel Maddow crying...ya gotta be killing me. She does not have the slightest idea what a child needs or does not need.

Of course the Democrat Party Scum & Vermin and their lock-step Media low life, fake news bozos failed to lay on glove on DJT. Witness the massively successful Trump political rally in “Democrat Blue State” Minnesota last Wednesday (10,000 attendees in the arena & thousands more outside).

And...Trumpie heads for South Carolina on Monday to campaign, and holds another massive political rally in Fargo, North Dakota next Wednesday. Folks...it is going to be a huge successful Republican, “Red November”!!!
