Local news media pushing hard for a riot. I walk through Woodland Hills HS every day, recognize this guy.

He had been riding in a car linked to a non-fatal shooting 13 minutes earlier...

Play stupid games, win stupid prizes.

If he was unarmed and running away it’s going to be really hard for the police to trot out their usual tales of “I was in fear for my life” or “He lunged at me”.

Not saying the dead teen didn’t ask for it, just saying that the police might not be able to cover up some cop just shooting the kid in the back because the cop was too tired, impatient, or out of shape to chase him.

Man, if you’re in a car that is involved in a shooting, you’ve got to expect maximum touchiness from the responding police.

Or, doesn’t the fact that the initial shooting was non-fatal make the police response oppressive?

two people ran from the car, police said. The officer opened fire, hitting Rose.

Hmmm. And what happened between these two actions? Is there something being omitted, perhaps? Such as the unarmed teen rushing at the cop?

Just one English class away from graduating. Obviously a prime candidate for college recruitment.

“Unarmed” is established after the fact, not before or during the chase. What the Cops knew was that he was evading arrest in connection with a known shooting.

Have you noticed that the Tribune Review has completely jumped the shark and went full libtard? It started about the same time that they dropped the print edition and went all digital. The Trib used to be the Conservative newspaper in S.W. Pa. It doesn’t seem to be any longer.

. . . about 1½ miles from the scene of the North Braddock shooting . . .

Braddock is a $#*+hole burb of the burgh where the Trump hating mayor is now running for Lt. Governor so he can help Gov. Wolf bring the $#*+hole atmosphere in his city to the entire Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

I'm at Mercy Hosp with my Dad at the moment.

Raining and foggy.

I'm sure the trouble makers will wait for better weather.

.…..my only comment on the cops liability on this one is that it is too early to tell as we simply don’t have all the facts.

My general comment is “do these cops ever watch the news and see what happens when a cop shoots somebody?”

Basically, his whole life is ruined.

If I were a cop I would say to myself...…..”self, you do not pull that trigger other than to save your own life, you do not pull that trigger unless your trying to save another fellow cops life, you do not pull that trigger to shoot unless you are trying to save a citizens life and you do not pull that trigger on someone running away from you …….regardless of police policy because the consequences for your ass are too great!”

To me a suspicion that a fleeing person MAY harm someone else is not justification to shoot him.

Cops are the thin line between the citizenry and the bad guys though and deserve the benefit of the doubt every time as the decisions they make are sometimes in fractions of a second.
