Attorney General Jeff Sessions praised FBI Director Christopher Wray’s testimony on the Justice Department Inspector General report while discussing immigration and law enforcement in Scranton, Pennsylvania Friday.
“I was real proud of Chris Wray, the new director of the FBI, yesterday for his statements on the IG report,” Sessions told Lackawanna College. “We’re not going to be defensive. We’re going to confront any problems, and we’re going to deal with them one-by-one, in a proper, fair, and appropriate way.”
“We’re going to reaffirm and recommit ourselves to the first ideals of that great agency — the FBI — One of the greatest investigative agency, maybe the greatest in the history of the world, as far as I’m concerned,” he added. “If we make a mistake, we’re going to confront it.”
Wray defended the FBI Thursday in response to a scathing inspector general report that heavily criticized the actions of his predecessor in the Hillary Clinton email investigation.
Wray said the report only addresses a specific set of facts and the actions of a handful of officials. He says “nothing” in the report “impugns” the integrity of the FBI workforce as a whole.

That is EXACTLY what Trump needs to do to Sessions. A kick in the head. Might wake up Sleepy Jeff and knock some sense into him.
Sessions reports to the President. And our President's leadership and unprecedented political acumen can't be questioned.
Take your complaints up to Trump then. Go on, all you Sessions bashers - take a break from the Doritos and Mountain Dew and fill out a Change.org petition to have Trump fire Sessions then.
I am confident that the bad actors from the previous administration will get the punishment they deserve.
Man what a disappointment
Sessions and Wray demonstrate that we are ruled by the intelligence services, not be the elected politicians.
They have not been able to turn Trump. like they turned Rubio, Gowdy, Cruz snd Sessions.
Since nothing is going to change at the DoJ / FBI, brides are now acceptable.
Do they publish a rate schedule or are we supposed to negotiate individually? Or, are they going to make a bribe app for people to get the best price and rate the effectiveness of the bribed agents? Kind of an uber/airbnb for the FBI?

It just appears that the FBI has dirt on Sessions......so, like Rubio, Cruz and Gowdy.
Look. No one doubts that Sleepy Jeff is far better than whatever loser the Hildabeast may have selected.
And Sleepy does a fair job on immigration enforcement. And there are probably some other fine qualities he might have. Such as he dresses well, and does not slurp his soup.
But on the single most critical issue alive today - he is worse than useless. He is a traitor.
He will not investigate or allow an investigation from the DOJ into the illegal antics of Comey, Mueller, the Clintons, Obama et al.
Everything he says or does is in opposition to the Trump Agenda to “lock her up” and to drain the swamp.
So should Trump get rid of Sessions now? Of course not. There would be no recess appointments. There is nothing Trump can do regarding this loser until after the midterms.
The problem with your defense of Sessions is that Trump is unhsppy with him as well.

Nah... Sessions doesn’t have to be any paragon of virtue for the Trump scheme to still work. When the light comes up slowly, people with any conscience left will clean themselves and people without any will hide and ultimately flee.
