Prison reform is one of those sad issues that no one cares about... the public wants criminals punished, law makers will run on ballot issues that only see short term results and so we have become a warehouse prison nation, with very high recidivism rates. It will be interesting if Trump spends any political capitol on addressing this... most politicians don’t.
It’s politics. And demographics are important. And prison reform is not a bad topic.
I saw the New York Post headlines on Drudge. It was hilarious. Big ass summit, Kim Thong Un, etc.
Are they sure it was Kardashian or maybe it was Jenner in the stilletos?

Kim who? While I am the first to state that many inmates deserve what they get, we should not, as a people, subject them to inhumane treatment as a matter of fact - that makes us no better than them in some ways. In the matter of violent felons, I advocate for the “eye for an eye” sentencing; if we are going to keep certain elements of our society incarcerated, we should at least not be barbarians about it.
She probably didn’t have any trouble getting into the White House considering they’ed already widened the door for Michelle.

About two weeks ago I suddenly saw Pence give a White House speech about it. What the heck?
Since then, I have seen two sources claim that Jared Kushner is the force behind this.
Certain features of the Kushner bill remind me of the Broward and Dade County school policies that prevented the Parkland High School mass shooter from being arrested several times BEFORE he started killing people.
On top of that, Kushner’s “prison reform” bill completely ignores the fact that 95% of federal inmates plead guilty to a lesser or reduced charge.
Kushner wants to reduce those prison terms even more!
What in the Wide Wide World of Sports does Kardashian have to do with prison reform? Stop giving these people air time!
