CBS This Morning gave generally fair coverage today to yesterdays shooting at an Oklahoma City restaurant in which an armed citizen shot and killed the assailant.
But CBS couldnt help but let the MSMs fixation on gun control creep in. At the end of the segment, the CBS reporter on the scene, David Begnaud, said:
We asked the police if that armed civilian had a permit to carry his weapon, and they told us they didnt know but they were looking into it.

“She vetoed it.”
She. Well, there you go. Keep electing women, dumbasses.
Disgusting.
Now days cops don’t like it when you do a lot of moving around when they approach your vehicle.
I highly recommend that everyone watch a few evenings of LivePD on A&E network. It is eye opening and a real insight into the current practice(s) of traffic stops.
I agree, if it wasn’t clear, once the LEO is out of his vehicle and moving in my direction, I’d like to be hands on the wheel in full view.

You’ve been trained well!
And right, I think were on the same page, as I’m basically saying that the legal use of the firearm, in and of itself, does not mean that him needing a “CCW was relevant to the investigation” ...unless, of course, some witness told police that he had pulled the gun out his pocket, or something like that. But otherwise I don’t think they can require him to answer whether or not he has a CC permit simply because he lawfully discharged his weapon, unless they determine the weapon was likely being carried concealed that day.
Oklahoma is an OPEN CARRY State.
One does not need a CCW permit to OPEN CARRY.
I agree Perrette was a little lefty puke from the beginning, but we watched it as entertainment. Much was very unreal, like going to Vietnam and being armed at the same time. Vietnam has opened it’s arms to former US soldiers as tourists as they have loads of cash to spend. But NCIS armed agents conducting an investigation?
Or how about the episode where they were armed in Russia flying around in a US Army helicopter looking for bad Russians?
And military police, including civilian clothed NCIS, CID or OSI cannot make a civilian arrest off base without local LEO’s present. I doubt if they can even do CSI work off base without the locals there, or at least approving of it.
The whole show is BS.
And yes, Perrette is just as left in real life as the character she portrayed.
As you say NCIS is entertainment. Its just that there hasnt been much of that as of late. And a lot of snide anti- gun remarks.
