President Donald Trump claimed Thursday that former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper had admitted that the FBI spied on his presidential campaign, further escalating his attacks on the law enforcement and intelligence communities charged with probing possible collusion with Russia.
"Clapper has now admitted that there was Spying in my campaign," Trump tweeted, referring to an interview Clapper did Tuesday on ABC's "The View."
But that's false — Clapper did not say that. Responding to a direct question from one of the hosts, Joy Behar — "Was the FBI spying on Trump's campaign?" — Clapper said, "No, they were not."
He went on to explain that the purpose of the FBI's reported use of an informant, which is different from a "spy," was to determine what the Russians were doing.

Why did they care what the Russians were doing? Since when does the FBI investigate OTHER nations? This is BS. The "informant" was there to try and find something elicit on Trump. If Russia "happened to be" what they found, then that's why they were there. But the False Premise for a FISA warrant and other, unexplained means, is what justified their super secret informant plant inside of Trump's campaign team. If it is linked to Hillary, the dossier, or anything else political, then it is called SPYING! It was "Counter intelligence" = SPYING, per the FISA warrant.

Trump didn’t say they were spying “on” his campaign, but that they were spying “in” his campaign. And yes, Clapper confirmed that they were spying in his campaign, even if they were spying on Russia.
Exactly. They needed to protect Trump from the Russians so they put an informant in his campaign. But Hitlery, with her hacked bathroom server and the DNC with their “hacked” server, did not need an “informant”.

Another way this harmed Trump, aside from the obvious fact they were spying for the Hillary campaign or other political reasons, was that any “informant” they installed in his campaign would be taking up space that could have been filled by an actual dedicated campaign worker. In other words, the mole would be leaving work for which he’s being paid undone while doing Clapper and Brennan’s work instead. The informant handicapped Trump’s game.

Someone implanted in a campaign to “inform” on people and events, and reports back to their handler, really doesn’t sound much different than a “spy” who spies on people and events, and reports back to their handler. I guess there is a difference between a killer and a murderer as well, but I’m not sure what that would be.
