Its the sort of thing that drives animal-rights advocates and other elite bunny-hugging liberals wild, to the delight of politically incorrect red-blooded MAGA-men. As NBC News reports, the Trump administration is bringing back savage hunting techniques to federal lands in Alaska:
The Trump administration is moving to reverse Obama-era rules barring hunters on some public lands in Alaska from baiting brown bears with bacon and doughnuts and using spotlights to shoot mother black bears and cubs hibernating in their dens.
There are a lot of humans, much less bears, who cant resist bacon and doughnuts. But before you can say Sarah Palin, theres more:
Under the proposed changes, hunters would also be allowed to hunt black bears with dogs, kill wolves and pups in their dens, and use motor boats to shoot swimming caribou.
These and other hunting methods - condemned as cruel by wildlife protection advocates - were outlawed on federal lands in 2015. That was, of course, under President Obama, who hated Real Americans.

If it was created under Obama, it was probably a bad policy
PETA pissed, heads a poppin’. In other words:WINNING!
Alaska Ping
Hunting bear with dogs? Why?
Yet, dismembering an infant in its mother’s womb is fine.
My dog would tender his resignation on the spot.
Bacon and donughts? that sounds like bait for humans..
They are going to murder Yogi and BooBoo!
The dog trees the bear. Hunter comes up and shoots it. Similar to how mountain lions are hunted.
Big deal. Plenty of Texas boys have blinds real close to their deer feeders. You use bait when you go fishing, too.
One for the bear and two for me...
One for the bear and three for me.
Oh "BeAr" trap...
Never mind...
Because, unlike deer, bears are NOT creatures of habit...
Deer hunters can scout territory where deer move...They use trails to get to feed and bedding areas pretty commonly....
Bear do not...Bear mostly wander...It’s not unusual for a bear to go 10-15 miles in a day...
How is hunting over bait “cruel”? As for killing wolves in their dens, that’s more population control than hunting. Alaska has way too many wolves and have been giving out wolf permits with every hunting tag, but it still hasn’t solved it. In any case the state can devise their own regs without a bunch of DC bureaucrats chiming in.
Some of think that *NEITHER* that OR killing a hibernating animal or mother with its cubs is a good thing.
“and using spotlights to shoot mother black bears and cubs hibernating in their dens.”
I really doubt anyone is shooting black bears and their cubs while they are “hibernating in their dens”.
That is just liberal BS!
I used to bear hunt quite a bit when I was younger..I ran string of Plott Hounds...We’d hunt East Tennessee and twice a year we’d go to Ontario, Canada...
Dogs would strike a bear trail...Chase dogs would follow the trail and one or two guys try to follow the dogs...The other hunters would spread out about a mile or so around where the trail was found...The bear would either “tree” or it would keep moving away from the dogs and hopefully come close to one of the stand hunters who had spread out...
Inwouldn’t mond if all of these things were banned.
Theres sport and then theres just not.
Yeah...I think that it BS...Black bears den AFTER hunting season most everywhere...Besides, black bears are not true hibernators....
