First lady Melania Trump returned to the White House on Saturday following several days in the hospital after a kidney procedure, her office announced.
The first lady was released from Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, Md., five days after a procedure to treat a benign kidney condition.
She is resting comfortably and remains in high spirits, the White House said in a statement. Our office has received thousands of calls and emails wishing Mrs. Trump well, and we thank everyone who has taken the time to reach out.
Her office has described the procedure as a success, with the first lady tweeting Wednesday that she was feeling great.
President Trump visited the first lady several days this week at the hospital, which is located just outside Washington.

Yes! Glad she is home. Hope she can get a few days rest before carrying on with her First Lady duties.

Hopefully the Walter Reed nurses used an iron fist to keep them at bay. Many of them at WR are enlisted male medics.

I think the President would be lost without herIt does seem that The Lord endowed her with incredible talents. With that came an incredible mission. That's to stand beside the imperfect man sent to Make America Great Again.

That was a long hospitalization for what they claimed was being done. Usually they discharge ASAP. I’m betting there is more to this story.

They discharge US ASAP because we have crappy healthcare.
FLOTUS doesn’t and was given the proper hospital/care time.

Agreed - I had an entire kidney and associated benign tumor (13 lbs. worth) removed by a laparoscopic procedure and was dismissed the next day. Felt like crap but preferred being home.

You wrote “Hopefully the Walter Reed nurses used an iron fist to keep them at bay.” And I have noticed in visiting Walter Reed that many of those in the “nurse” role are actually male soldiers and sailors who are medics. So they would naturally have no problem being iron-fisted about unwanted visitors.

Since hospitals are noisy germ filled places with inedible food. Im sure she will recouporate extremely well at home. For you and me maybe - I doubt she was subjected to the same germ-encrusted bland culinary options.

I don’t know about your area, but at our medical centers there are closed units for VIPs who bring in their own staff and food. No access for commoners.

Walter Reed Bethesda is not noisy. I’ve spent hours there and the wards are very quiet.
