It makes for a good conspiracy theory. Basically the same theory I came up with myself last week. But you need to be able to prove it in order to make anything of it. As of now, we still don’t have anything official on who the informant is or what he did. Just speculation.
The fact that the FBI doesn’t want to disclose his name even to the Gang of Eight though suggests that it will be embarrassing.
My suspicion is that Rush spun this tale mainly because as long as the information is secret, you can speculate about anything you want. They will likely decide ultimately that the real information is not as damaging as what we can imagine, and that is when they will release it.
That Trump's thus far strolled through it all relatively unscathed almost defies belief.
Our putative intelligence agencies are collectively a bunch of bumbling fools, which is just as frightening as their attempting to take down a sitting President.
And, I don't trust Rush Limbaugh on this. Just enough truth but hey, squirrel, look over there.

The little birdies are saying that the unnamed person Rush is referring to is named Stefan Halper.
