It makes for a good conspiracy theory. Basically the same theory I came up with myself last week. But you need to be able to prove it in order to make anything of it. As of now, we still don’t have anything official on who the informant is or what he did. Just speculation.

The fact that the FBI doesn’t want to disclose his name even to the Gang of Eight though suggests that it will be embarrassing.

My suspicion is that Rush spun this tale mainly because as long as the information is secret, you can speculate about anything you want. They will likely decide ultimately that the real information is not as damaging as what we can imagine, and that is when they will release it.

I disagree. I've long held the opposite position, in that Trump has known every detail about the attempted coup, including the different players, waypoints and fallback positions, since at least the time he was sworn in.

In this context, Trump's problem isn't about protecting & defending himself against the failed coup, but how to roll-up the entire deep state infrastructure lock, stock and barrel. And within this domain, I include the MSM which, while they may try to hide behind the 1A, also need to be convicted along with the other culprits.

To use a jungle analogy, zebras have evolved stripes in which to confuse predators. Literally, there are endless thousands of targets for hungry lions, but which one should they choose? It's the curse of (over) abundance. Trump has so very many enemy targets, yet which thread links them all - one well place tug, and it brings them all down.

I think it is this very conundrum where Trump is focusing his primary mental energies. If he is successful, he will ranked alongside with Washington & Lincoln as the savior of the republic.

I disagree. I think Rush does these things when he knows, and knows we know, so that we will not conclude he is an Establishment shill.

I already consider him an Establishment shill.
