The Department of Justice lost its latest battle... when it allowed House Intelligence Committee members to view classified documents about a top-secret intelligence source that was part of the FBIs investigation of the Trump campaign. Even without official confirmation of that sources name, the news so far holds some stunning implications...
Among them is that the Justice Department and Federal Bureau of Investigation outright hid critical information from a congressional investigation...
The bureau already has some explaining to do. Thanks to the... leakers, we know Mr. Nuness request deals with a top secret intelligence source... who is a U.S. citizen and who was involved in the Russia collusion probe... we might take this to mean that the FBI secretly had a person... to interact in some capacity with the Trump campaign.
This would amount to spying, and it is hugely disconcerting. It would also be a major escalation from the electronic surveillance we already knew about... Obama political appointees rampantly unmasked Trump campaign officials... Now we find it may have also been rolling out human intelligence, John Le Carré style, to infiltrate the Trump campaign...
When? The bureau has been doggedly sticking with its story that a tip in July 2016 about the drunken ramblings of George Papadopoulos launched its counterintelligence probe... When precisely was the Steele dossier delivered to the FBI? When precisely did the Papadopoulos information come in?
And to the point, when precisely was this human source operating? Because if it was prior to that infamous Papadopoulos tip, then the FBI isnt being straight. It would mean the bureau was spying on the Trump campaign prior to that moment. And that in turn would mean that the FBI had been spurred to act on the basis of something other than a junior campaign aides loose lips...

I don’t know who it is - but there’s a good chance it’s someone who hasn’t figured prominently up to this point.
Post 30 provides a good rationale why it’s not Page.
My guess is the wiretap was simply for the excuse to tap EVERYONE in the campaign and Trump’s personal office.
About Carter Page, something that never did make a lot of sense was why someone who was a globalist Merrill Lynch investment banker and promoter of Russian/Central Asia oil & gas would be attracted to Trump, who is an American economic nationalist and wanted to hugely ramp up US oil & gas production at the expense of OPEC and the Russians.
People need to hang for this. It needs to be televised too.
We may see those meat hooks yet!
ping!
“Its Page. The question is what are the implications?”
That the whole thing was simply a deliberate attempt by the Obama Administration to illegally use intelligence capabilities to spy on their domestic political opponents, and steal an election.
Carter Page was a long term FBI asset. He was probably sent to the Trump Campaign, so they could use his prior years in Russia, and contacts with known Russian Intelligence Officers to meet the threshold to get FISA surveillance warrants on Page - and therefor, two hops out (anyone who communicated, with anyone who communicated with Page). They probably had Page send some innocuous email to anyone in the campaign that they really wanted to monitor, just so they could monitor all of their future communications.
Page was an FBI asset, fraudulently presented as a subject of interest, to illegally capture and disseminate all the communications of the Trump campaign, to Democrat operatives throughout the Obama Administration.
An illegal day by day, blow by blow spying operation on a domestic political campaign was conducted by the Obama Administration, at the highest levels. Some reports indicate that significant Trump campaign information that was collected through this fraud (and other illegal abuses), was even brazenly included in the Presidential Daily Brief, and automatically distributed to dozens of Administration figures - including Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.
This is so much worse than Watergate, where a few Republicans affiliated with the campaign, tried to to peek into the files of the DNC one night. This was the systematic wholesale corruption of the intelligence capabilities of the Nation to comprehensively monitor every communication of an opposition political campaign.
If not adequately punished, there may not be another opportunity to prevent such abuse in the future - elections could be effectively rigged in perpetuity by such a lawless clique, the next time they wield such power.
“Either one of two things may have happened: Ivan had little to offer so Brennan hatched the idea of fabricating Russian dirt and injecting it into the FBI; or Ivan gave Brennan a dossier of disinformation while trying to conceal their snickers as they handed it to him, and Brennan then laundered it through Steele.” Best guess that I have seen.
That implies they did not fully trust Page. I think they did because they knew he was one of them. Thats what I hope in any event. It clears Trump completely.
As long as Trump remains I want to see due process. Indictments, trials, convictions, sentences and hangings.
If Trump is in any manner removed from office then other means are fine with me. Any other means.
Manafort was the Democrats’ plant. Did the FBI also place someone *else* in Trump’s campaign?!
Not Carter Page.
The name hasnt been revealed because that person is STILL in the Trump camp.
I will volunteer to be on the firing squad once Brennan is tried and convicted of Treason. He is a treasonous bastard, but there are not enough testicles in DC to deal with the evil prick as he should be dealt with.
Best after-election ever!
Not a guess. The type of warrant sought proves your surmise.

The Obamaroid sent word to Comey, et al to get Trump by any means. With the dead soul demons in his administration, that is all they needed to eagerly commit treason.
The theory they give is that Page wanted to liberalize relations with Russia and so did Trump. Lots of things dont make sense though.
All good points. But remember that Page was always looked at as a potential target of the investigation — not an informant. And it seems like he’s spent a lot of time on TV running his mouth without any fear of legal jeopardy.
And convicted traitors need to be publicly hanged and their carcasses left to rot off the noose.
