TODAY I CHOOSE TO SUCCEED!
I am here because of prior choices I have made. My thoughts control my actions. My actions determine my destiny. My destiny is controlled by my choices. Today, I choose to
Live my life with honor, courage and commitment, Follow the rules and do my best in all my endeavors, Perform like a mature and professional military person, Be honest with myself and not make excuses for my actions Admit when Im wrong and be held accountable Maintain a positive attitude. I am who I am and where I am because of my choices. Today I choose to succeed!
Prayer: Dear God, I pray that you will be a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path. Help me always to choose the path which honors You, my family and my country. Amen.

Take Another Look at Jesus!
April 29, 2018
But Christ is faithful as the Son over Gods house. And we are his house, if indeed we hold firmly to our confidence and the hope in which we glory.
Hebrews 3:6
If there ever was a faithful person, it was Brother Justice. He was committed to his marriage, dedicated to his job as a postal worker, and each Sunday stood at his post as a leader in our local church. I visited my childhood church recently, and perched on the upright piano was the same bell that Brother Justice rang to notify us that the time for Bible study was about to end. The bell has endured the test of time. And although Brother Justice has been with the Lord for years, his legacy of faithfulness also endures.
Hebrews 3 brings a faithful servant and a faithful Son to the readers attention. Though the faithfulness of Moses as Gods servant is undeniable, Jesus is the one believers are taught to focus on. Therefore, holy brothers and sisters . . . fix your thoughts on Jesus (v. 1). Such was the encouragement to all who face temptation (2:18). Their legacy could come only from following Jesus, the faithful One.
What do you do when the winds of temptation are swirling all around you? When you are weary and worn and want to quit? The text invites us to, as one paraphrase renders it, Take a good hard look at Jesus (3:1 The Message). Look at Him againand again and again. As we reexamine Jesus, we find the trustworthy Son of God who gives us courage to live in His family.
Father, through Your Spirit, empower us to courageously love, honor, and follow the Lord Jesus Christ.
Looking to Jesus can give us courage to face the challenges in our lives.
The book of Hebrews was written to encourage Jewish Christians who were facing persecution and hardship for their faith and who were now in danger of drifting away and reverting back to Judaism. The writer warns them against abandoning Christ (2:13; 3:715; 6:46; 10:2631) and presents the absolute supremacy of Jesus as Savior. Jesus is superior to the angels (chs. 12), to Moses (chs. 34), and to the Aaronic priesthood (chs. 57), and He is the perfect High Priest (chs. 810). In todays passage Moses is compared with Christ. While Moses was one of Gods most faithful servants, Jesus is far greater than Moses because Jesus is Gods Son (3:56).
How does reflecting on the supremacy of Jesus encourage you to trust Him in your trials?

Hey radu!
Our weather reached 85 degrees the past few days but has cooled down only a little.
Son's over now and since he's out of school until August we're hanging and playing video games tonight.
What's been up with you and the 'lil darlins'?

Wow! It’s right toasty up there! We suffered through low 60s all week and finally got to enjoy some low 70s and sunshine today. Back to the 60s tomorrow and Monday since another cold front comes through tonight. *sigh*
The kittehs are driving us crazy - - full moon coming up!
Spent a few hours at the museum today and knocked out a bunch more uniforms. A couple of friends showed up to check the museum out and one brought a few of his Navy uniforms to donate. Since there wasn’t a work uniform on display yet, Russ had me get my friend’s ready and it was on a mannequin before the guys left. Needless to say, my friend was pretty tickled to see one of his uniforms put on display right away. The smile on his face was the highlight of the day.

Howdy, radu!
Sorry it took me so long to get back. I had to eat supper first before getting comfy. It was warmer but not in the 90s awful, so that’s a good thing! It’s 77 right now. I sat out for a while...and yes, I did load up on the Deep Woods before setting foot out there! LOL!
How was it threre? Warmer? Dry? Did you see the almost-full moon? It’s yuge!
