President Trump said Saturday he

They law was about SEX TRAFFICKING/PROSTITUTION! Do yourself a favor and look up THE MANN ACT !
These days you hear all sorts of stuff about "sex trafficking" both here and overseas. To whatever degree this type of thing happens *here*...or might happen were it not for legislation outlawing it...it's certainly something that we'd want to prevent.
Might the guy have been unfairly convicted...that is "not guilty as charged"? Yes,it's my understanding that black defendants haven't always gotten true justice in this country.But,OTOH,blacks...just like whites...*do* commit crimes and always have.
So,as I said before, his *actual* guilt or innocence is all that matters.
While he’s at it, he should posthumously forgive Joe Louis’s tax debt imposed by the filthy government
Proof,please!
Maybe not, but his family cares, and that is reason enough to do it!
This pardon could maybe give TRUMP another 1% to 2% of the Black Vote so why not?
As TRUMP says What do you have to lose?
Stallone is advising the president, I love it!
“Does this mean hell be able to vote?”
Yes. But if he is buried in Chicago he will have to vote in alphabetical order, just like all the other dead electors.
Rig a jury and anyone would be guilty.
Pardon the guy.
Ditto. The family will be grateful and those screaming that Trump is a racist will be one-upped. A great photo opportunity with the family.
As TRUMP says What do you have to lose?
It is a GOOD political move... I would say you're "right as rain."
Yes, having sex with a woman in two states is worthy of a felony.
The source of that is Ken Burns documentary Unforgivable Blackness. But heres one more item.
And then he was arrested, twice, for violating a law that made it illegal transport a white woman across state lines for any immoral purposes including, under the racist strictures of Jim Crow, an interracial relationship.
Actually, if two consenting adults crossed state lines to have sex , it was a violation of the Mann Act. In other words, it was a horseshit law .
Jamie Brockett and Ledbelly fans will remember that Jack Johnson avoided a possible early death because of racism...
Jack Johnson want to get on board,
Captain says, I aint haulin no coal.
Fare thee, Titanic, fare thee well.
After the sinking, Johnson realizes the irony of the situation. The Captains racism saved the boxers life:
When he heard about that mighty shock,
Might o seen the man doin the Eagle Rock.
Fare thee, Titanic, fare thee well.
Yes, the act which was the work of James Robert Mann (R.Ill) was passed in 1910. Indeed it was to stop or slow what was called "white slavery" by some. To try to keep ugly sex trafficking within a state, where they could keep tabs on it. Charlie Chaplin was charged, but got away with it. Privately an unpleasant individual in my opinion. I understood after reading a novel by Charles Portis, stolen vehicles take on a far serious consequence. This by simply being driven across state lines.
Is there convincing evidence that the jury was "rigged"...or are we just assuming here.Has there ever been a black defendant convicted by a white jury that was,in fact, guilty as charged?
To Kill A Mockingbird is my favorite film of all time.Tom Robinson was,in fact, the victim of an overzealous (if not racist) prosecutor and a filthy white cracker drunk father.IMO there's not enough evidence to prove that the jurors were racist...but it's been about 55 years since I read the book so I could be wrong there (I watch the film regularly...most recently about 6 months ago).
I don't know how much press this case got at the time of the trial but I'd be interested in seeing any that does exist...and court appeals as well.Presumably DJT will have trusted legal advisers look into that very thing.
