Attorney General Jeff Sessions recently told the White House he might have to leave his job if President Trump fired his deputy, Rod J. Rosenstein, who oversees the investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 election, according to people familiar with the exchange.
Sessions made his position known in a phone call to White House counsel Donald McGahn last weekend, as Trumps fury at Rosenstein peaked after the deputy attorney general approved the FBIs raid April 9 on the presidents personal attorney Michael Cohen.

When you go all SJW on me... Sorry that hurt but it is true. You are a SJW. I am not in any sense trying to intimidate you. Just go reread your posts. You might as well be Debbie Blabbermouth Schultz. Not particularly intimidating but dumb as a bag of hammers.
Possibly by saying nothing.
I still don't effing get why Sessions recused himself!!?? His job is SAFE as long as he keeps TRUMP happy!!!!
That was then and this is now.
If somebody tells a slanderous lie about you, you don’t correct the record by ‘saying nothing.’
Yeah - because the WaaaaPo is a reliable harbinger of things to come or what the truth really is.....what crap.
Then Beauregard will show up regularly on pmsnbc as their house
conservative
Have you ever actually tiddiled a wink?
I’ve been keeping a close watch on Trump’s Twitter to see if he calls WaPo out for more fake news. So far nothing.
Oh, great! A TWO-FER!
If Sessions actually said this, WOW!
So at least two dozen high profile actors at the highest level of government (likely many more), who weaponized our top federal law enforcement organizations, who (with Russia) manufactured a REAL international and false conspiracy, to take out a lawfully elected anti-socialist/pro American POTUS — have already violated multiple federal statutes, committed felonies, sedition, treason, and based on false and conspiratorially derived evidence, have systematically violated the Constitutional rights of many Americans...
And Sessions comes out and threatens the POTUS with his resignation, should the President fire the person most legally conflicted, and responsible for enabling all the lawlessness, who is literally destroying our top law enforcement organization, and creating a real Constitutional crisis, just to save his own skin!
If true, in case anyone was unsure, Sessions essentially just relayed to the POTUS, he (Sessions) was the real enabler of the effort to take down the POTUS who put him there, the Trump family, and any associates and friends of the Trunp family!
It may not work for Sessions and the left, but Sessions is telegraphing to the President, he is going to help create a greater crisis, if the POTUS attempts to end the very real lawbreaking under way being used to hurt the President!
If true, it almost sounds like Sessions is egging on the POTUS!
Either way Trump goes, Trump is in danger!
If I were in Trumps shoes, I would be utterly strategic, AND pull out ALL the stops on these immoral anti-American lawbreakers and their enablers!
Get the eff out and put someone in there with out ties to the Deep State.
BYEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE BYEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Nope.
He needs a Congress, or a Committee of Public Safety in its place.
If we are asking him to govern in spite of an overwhelmingly opposed Congress (which is the case), then we are asking the impossible.
You’re right—the media HATED Bush. However, since then Bush has refrained from criticizing Obama but *has* criticized Trump. That makes his mother pretty okey dokey in the eyes of the MSM.
Rudy!!! That 1990’s Rudy Gee-lee-undies from NY?? Really?? Guy only makes commercials for identity theft companies these days.
Sounds like a good deal to me! Goodbye to two swamp rats. If Sessions had an ethical bone in his body, he would have not accepted his appointment as AG.
Good and Rudy will replace him!
Its my guess that Sessions has been and is looking for a way to make a face saving exit. And, should Trump fire Rosenstein he would have it. And, as you correctly stated Rudy would replace him. In fact, I think this scenario is baked in the cake to happen as soon as Rudy and Mueller shut down the Russia collusion investigation.
So you’re saying Trump *doesn’t* need a strong, loyal, aggressive AG?
