Fox News called the campaign to drive advertisers away from Laura Ingrahams show agenda-driven intimidation efforts, as the network showed support for the embattled host.
We cannot and will not allow voices to be censored, Fox News co-president Jack Abernethy said in a statement Monday to multiple newsorganizations.
We look forward to having Laura Ingraham back hosting her program next Monday when she returns from spring vacation with her children.
Ingraham is off the air of her TV show, The Ingraham Angle, this week on a preplanned vacation, Fox News told The Washington Post Saturday.

This is war.
Conservatives ought to band together and boycott the cowardly advertisers who allowed a high school kid to do this dastardly deed. Just saying.
I dont believe FOX was “railing” against anything
They were the adult voice of reason
Something seldom if ever heard from the WashPost
I really hope Camera Hogg is nearing the end of his 15 minutes of fame. He is just tedious now.
If they don’t stand up for her, they will be admitting that their coverage is subject to the approval of snowflakes like David Hogg. It would mean advertisers control the content.
More Crybullying by the usual crowd.
Now Laura needs to get some fight back in her.
Camera Hogg isn’t doing anything. It’s his puppet masters waging guerilla warfare against the 1st amendment by going after the 2nd. Fox management got a spine implant, that’s good. But this is a much wider war than just Laura Ingraham.
Fox doing the right thing.
Maybe a day late, but it is the only right thing to do. However, when doing the right thing today is sparse, I hesitantly applaud FOX but these actions SHOULD be expected.
Exactly
Yep, start by doing an expose about this "survivor" who wasn't even at the school during the shooting.
FOX either pushes back now (with FORCE) or they wither into gnarled vines and news tentacles of no use to any they serve.
One punk does not a revolution make.
Actually the sales group at FNC ought to take this as an opportunity to find smaller businesses to advertise on Laura’s show.
What are the #3 and #4 streaming services or office supply chains? Give them a great rate. Or find regional.companies. Sell ad time to other types of business firms. Maybe home schooling groups. Or religious organizations.
People still watch Laura. See if the camera hogs will call on folks to boycott small business or charitable groups feeding the hungry.
All sorts of winning is possible.
They really undermined themselves when they made her apologize in the first place.
He was there. The story he told on See BS was confusing. He went home, grabbed his camera and went back to exploit the tragedy.
Fox News is a business that sells advertising. Political commentary and news programming is the platform used to draw viewers which determines their ad rates and thus their revenue. Fox News is owned by a nutty bunch of liberals.
So pardon me if I don’t see this as the last word on this subject. Maybe they will ignore these advertisers and find new ones who will support Laura’s positions, which would resolve the issue. Maybe this is just a ruse to buy time til they negotiate her out of her contract and she quits to “pursue other alternatives”. Maybe they will just run her program as a public service even if they lose money on it (yeah, right).
Or maybe “co-president Jack Abernethy” will be over-ruled by an other “co-president” or be the next to hit the streets himself.
No functional organization operates with “co-presidents”, that’s just a way of saying “this guy doesn’t have complete authority to speak for Fox News”.
Fox News uses presenters like Laura Ingraham to sell ads, they are not a political or educational organization.
About time Faux backed up their talent.
If anybody should get the axe its Shrimp Smith.
It seems to me companies that want maximum advert exposure will be lining up to fill those cowards slots, my guess is that has already happened hence FNC’s support for Ingram.
