Hillary Clinton is striking back at critics telling her to shut up following her 2016 loss, saying, They never said that to any man who was not elected.
I was really struck by how people said that to me you know, mostly people in the press, for whatever reason mostly, Go away, go away, Clinton said Thursday during an event at Rutgers University.
And I had one of the young people who works for me go back and do a bit of research. They never said that to any man who was not elected. I was kind of struck by that, Clinton said.
Clintons remarks came in response to a question from Eagleton Institute of Politics director Ruth Mandel about the former Democratic presidential nominees reaction to those who say she should get off the public stage and shut up.
Im really glad that, you know, Al Gore didnt stop talking about climate change, Clinton said to applause.
And Im really glad John Kerry went to the Senate and became an excellent secretary of State, the former first lady continued. And Im really glad John McCain kept speaking out and standing up and saying what he had to say. And for heavens sakes, Mitt Romney is running for the Senate, Clinton said.
The 70-year-old ex-secretary of State has taken heat in recent weeks, even among some Democrats, for comments she made about Americans who voted for President Trump in the 2016 race.
"I won the places that are optimistic, diverse, dynamic, moving forward, Clinton said earlier this month during a conference in India. And his whole campaign, Make America Great Again, was looking backwards.
I think it was a moment in time because what had been expected to happen in the election, which obviously did not, Clinton said Thursday. And then a lot of angst and second guessing and finger pointing and everything that went on.
Oh, for a bunny with a pancake on its head!
Psssh.
Most adults, male or female, would have dealt with the loss and moved on months ago.
She knows that her legacy is going to be that of a skid-mark on the underwear of American history.
Right now she is a kling on.
I don’t think any republican is telling her to shut up.
Please, please keep bitching and moaning and calling women stupid and slaves to their husbands.
Exactly, it's the Rats that want her to go away.
The so-called “last press conference” of Richard Nixon took place on November 7, 1962, following his loss to Democratic incumbent Pat Brown in the 1962 California gubernatorial election. Appearing before 100 reporters at the Beverly Hilton Hotel, an embittered Nixon lashed out at the media, proclaiming that “you don’t have Nixon to kick around any more, because, gentlemen, this is my last press conference.”
...A tired-looking Nixon spoke with a quavering voice, delivering what was described as a “15-minute monologue.”[1] He spent most of the talk criticizing the press, his remarks interrupted only by brief interjections from reporters, though he acknowledged well into his remarks that the Cuban Missile Crisis in October 1962 did not allow his campaign to get his message across during the final two weeks in his election bid.[5] Nixon began his remarks stating that “now that all the members of the press are so delighted that I have lost, I’d like to make a statement of my own.”[5] Nixon insisted that the press had attacked him since 1948 following the Alger Hiss case. He accused the press of printing articles supporting their favored candidates, stating that they should “give... the shaft” to future candidates, but should have “one lonely reporter on the campaign who will report what the candidate says now and then”. Nixon reserved praise for Carl Greenberg of The Los Angeles Times who he felt “wrote every word I said”. Also praised was Edwin Tetlow of The Daily Telegraph of London.[1]...

Al Gore didn’t but he wasn’t as bad as Hillary.
No one ever claimed to have sex with Hillary Clinton, either!
The bitch is running in 2020. She can’t let it rest.
I still find Huma strangely attractive
Lips and hips. She got ‘em! :)
the global warming hoax is the international “carbon tax” that provides the basis for the world government.
I can’t wait to hear what she has to say when the truth comes out about voter fraud and all the illegals voting. She will then have been proven to have lost the popular vote she claims to have won, although under our lovely Constitution, that means ABSOLUTELY NOTHING.
Have another drink, you horrible woman, and BETTER PUT SOME ICE ON THAT!!!
Two-time failed presidential candidate Hillary Clinton is set to give a paid speech at Rutgers University on Thursday, but she will rake in significantly less money than what she received in 2014 to deliver speeches at UCLA and other campuses.
Rutgers said that Clinton will be paid $25,000 from an endowment and that none of the money from tuition or state aid will be used to pay for her speech.
This speaking fee is significantly less than what Clinton earned in 2014 for paid speeches at other public and private universities. Clinton traveled to at least eight universities, including four public institutions, where she made six-figure speeches, taking in at least $1.8 million if she received her standard fee of $200,000, according to the Washington Post.
I remember some of that, lived in southern CA and was a fan of Nixon. Shook his hand when he was Ike’s VP in Valley Forge, PA at the Boy Scout Jamboree.
See, there ya’ go. lol. Poor Hillary. Can’t catch a break.
Yikes!...What a revolting thought, that’s why nobody did. :)
Haha. You make a strong case.
So she admitted that she lost?
