Have the beer sales dropped proportionately?

The decline of St. Louis is a poverty on this Nation. St. Louis is a beautiful city, their park is one of the best I have been too. Went running there once with a fellow Marine and say numerous memorial statues and forums that had acting companies doing Shakespeare. The crime there now is prohibitive.

St Louis, Baltimore, Detroit and many others all losing population.

Wonder what the common theme is?

I bet most of the decline in population is due to white middle class exodus.

Revoke their NFL franchise! Give it to San Antonio.

However, it’s in the Top 20 cities in the world for murder. Number 13, to be exact.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_cities_by_murder_rate

Only US city in the top 20, which includes mostly Latin American hellholes, the Carribbean, and South Africa.

Sad... I grew up in Chesterfield and Creve Coeur. Forest Park and Laclede’s Landing are no longer safe, even during the day. Definitely a Ferguson effect- loss of respect for private property, loss of empathy for anyone with a different color than you.

If a trolley clangs in St Louis, does it make a sound if there’s no one there to meet it?

308,000? There are suburbs in California larger than that.

While Philadelphia and Pittsburgh control PA, St. Louis and Kansas City do not control MO.

St Louis is a bleephole. Who wants to even admit you live there, let alone actually live there.

One needs to put it in the perspective of an Illinois / Missouri rivalry - anything they can do, we can do worse: East Saint Louis.

Those who worked left after the riots. Those who left are stuck there. Time for Detroit part 2. The slow decay into urban death.

Whites are fleeing to suburbs in a repeat of the “urban removal” fiasco of the 1960s. They’re fed up with being arm-twisted by dolomite-headed Liberals running cities aground.

Will white flight save America from the marxist curse of multiculturalism?

This goes back to 1876 when St. Louis City voted to separate from St. Louis County because they couldn't be bothered paying for roads and sewers and such in what was then a sparely settled rural area. As a result growth in the suburbs meant losses for the city.

I wouldn't necessarily assume the city's shrinking over the last decade or two was due to white flight. That's certainly possible, but there are also plenty of African-Americans moving from the city to places like Ferguson, MO. By this point it could be a similar situation with Detroit, where more blacks are leaving than whites.
