I hope you’re right, but my confidence is in tatters. We’ll see.

“With all due respect to the President I will believe this when the engineers are deployed and the dirt begins to fly.”

I agree talk is cheap. He knows the base is livid that he signed that bill and the base is all he has. Mitch and Paul slapped Trump in the face and spit in our eye but if Trump actually does this it will be sweet revenge

The people working on the wall don’t have to be in the military. It would be a military project. Military money can fund the job being done. Just like building a jet or military hardware.

is the biggest waste of money the Navy has ever had. They continue to produce ships that cannot cross the ocean on their own, they need to be piggy-backed to their deployment in Singapore

You sure about that?

WASHINGTON — The littoral combat ship Fort Worth, sidelined in Singapore since an onboard engineering accident in January, will head to California under her own power for complete repairs, the US Navy announced today.

Does he have people reading Free Republic? I suggested that several times over the years.

Most probably does.

A judge will stop it the second a shovel hits dirt. Then it will go to SCOTUS where it will be the President v Congress. Awesome showdown. Just before the mid-terms.

from my memory and actual hands on experience, each branch of the military has project managers that keep track of their construction budgets. Each project is a separate line item. The attributes including the and priority are listed on a spread sheet.

In the old days, they has special type writers with very, very long carriages to accommodate the perforated strips that were cut and then pasted to the master budget sheet. The strips were rubber cemented to the master budget sheet. With a new strip, the entire master sheet was recalculated. To clean up the excess rubber cement that ooozed out, a ball of old rubber cement was rolled over the new entry to remove the excess. the size of the ball was a status symbol

So, the proposed reallocation seems contrary to established military construction funding.

Chucky of course will think this is a setup for impeachment. And it is.

If the Dems win the house, this will front and center. Bring it on.

IF the wall gets done, it will only get done under President Trump. Nobody else would even consider it - they may yammer about it, but they’d never do it.

I know it’s a huge project, but I think back to that skating rink in New York. President Trump took care of that and he still has the same spirit and backbone.

I don’t totally trust the Supreme Court, even with Gasich. He’s got way too much times listening to the un-American, anti-Constitution judges, and that includes John Roberts. I would not at all be surprised if there’s a situation where one ‘pub judge goes rogue to defeat each of our issues, just as before.

Trump will fight all the harder now that the Repubs have shown their true treachery....so sad that our many snowflake concern trolls are all for dumping the best President of our lifetimes and likely for decades to come....

I wonder how much can come out of this 2018 funding for the Military to fund security projects?
