Trump: Border wall construction will start on Monday
Washington examiner ^

Posted on 03/24/2018 5:00:01 PM PDT by MNDude

President Trump said Friday that construction of his promised border wall would start "immediately" after signing the omnibus spending bill, which included $1.6 billion in funding for the wall.

"We're going to be starting work literally on Monday," Trump said during an event Friday at the White House. "We have a lot of money coming to the border."

Trump had threatened earlier Friday to veto the spending bill Congress passed on Thursday because it did not include sufficient funding for the wall and because it omitted expiring protections for young, undocumented immigrants.

Wait—How can this be?

Trump caved . . . Sold us out . . . Stabbed us in the back . . . Went back up the escalator.

Limbaugh, and a lot of other people, did serious damage to their credibility on Friday.

“All he needs to do is declare wall is necessary to defend the homeland.”
Brilliant!! Make it happen.
On another issue: who would protest to demand elimination of your god given right to defend yourself and your family?
Oh yea, useful idiots who don’t know any better. It’s like yelling thank you sir may I have another when someone is beating your ass!

Mexico is effectively paying for it. Lot less border jumpers since President Trump.

This.

If the Wall starts Mexico having to allocate its own money for its own poverty rather than outsourcing it for free to us, the Wall pays for itself.

“I wonder what the naysayers here on FR now have to say ?”

Proofs in the Pudding. Nothing in that bill that has been reported says that is what is happening. Repairs to existing FENCES is what is in the bill supposedly???? I hope Trump has something up his sleeve no one knows about otherwise the Swamp has him figured out to 1D Chess.

Mr. President: Convene a special session of congress to fund the wall. No one allowed out of the chamber until it passes the House. No one goes home until is done.

Trump needs to build the entire wall on his own authority, regardless of what Congress wants, and let any Republicans who want to go on the record trying to stop the wall do so.

You don't, troll boy.

Gotta love the low volume types who crawl out from under rocks at times like these.

Wish we had a camera to watch those first trucks move in place! A pay yo view would help pay for the wall 🤓

I understand. That’s great news. So this might actually happen.

One thing nags, me though...

If this is true - if Trump is going to divert some of the military money to build the wall, why did he look like he just ate a crap sandwich during that dismal “signing” ceremony? I would have expected the familiar cheshire cat grin as he explained on live television that he’s signing it - and then exactly what he intended to do. We didn’t see that. Instead, he looked dis-spirited and pissed off.

How do you think the election would have gone if Trump told us prior that he would consider giving Planned Parenthood $500,000,000.00 in 16 months?

That’s right. Just how it’s going to go in 2020. You blind followers have no idea that the voters who say we believe abortion is killing an innocent child mean it.

From your link:

This is wrong. The Department of Homeland Security, and its budget, exists to cover these and other expenses.
If we keep putting non-defense requirements into the Pentagon budget, we are defeating the purpose of individual federal departments and budgets.

What this libtard tool apparently can't (or won't) comprehend is the absolute national defense necessity of stopping the wetback invasion at our southern border.

And make NO mistake - an INVASION is precisely what's been happening.

The omnibus bill he just signed limits him to 92 mi. of border fence repair. No new fence can be built without congressional action, which will never happen. It’s over.

“All he needs to do is declare wall is necessary to defend the homeland.”

There are probably 25 Federal Judges appointed by Obama and Clintoon that will say he can't do it. But...but...but....the Constitution says he can! Constitution? What is that?

the bill talks about withholding funds for non-compliance to federal laws/statues/regulations & even T&C’s!

Now imagine the POTUS with the NSA/Military Intelligence, has dirt on everyone and everything. All those budgets for agencies/charities/corporations/organization we so hate, can be withheld, if they end up breaking federal law/regulations/statues/T&C’s.

So Trump/Q Team can simply reveal/leak this dirt on the organization they don’t want funded using their usual channels, for example Julian Assange, Fox News etc.. whoever, and then say, hey this organization has broken these laws/statues/regulations/T&C’s, we are suspending funding for the time being or indefinitely.

Also check section b:

(b) Disallow (that is, deny both use of funds and any applicable matching credit for) all or part of the cost of the activity or action not in compliance.

ALL or part of the cost!

Think Planned Parenthood.

Trump had a chance to make a stand and walk the walk that he talked prior to the election and show true faith that God would look favorably on a nation that had such a leader.

Okay. You’re saying the exact opposite of what some other poster said a page or so ago. He explained that the funding bill could only say what money was earmarked for and COULDN’T say what you COULDN’T use money for - but you’re saying the bill says no new fence can be built.

So which is it? I’m back to being confused.
