Trump: Border wall construction will start on Monday

President Trump said Friday that construction of his promised border wall would start "immediately" after signing the omnibus spending bill, which included $1.6 billion in funding for the wall.

"We're going to be starting work literally on Monday," Trump said during an event Friday at the White House. "We have a lot of money coming to the border."

Trump had threatened earlier Friday to veto the spending bill Congress passed on Thursday because it did not include sufficient funding for the wall and because it omitted expiring protections for young, undocumented immigrants.

This will be a cakewalk for Trump as President, although the lower courts may be ankle biting

I say it's just about time he plays 'shuffle the court'. Break up the Ninth Circus and place a couple members across Alaska and Hawaii. That should be enough warning to the rest. If not, sterner measures could and should be enacted. It's time to take the gloves off and MAGA!

I agree with you. I was going to post pretty much the same thing. Some would donate even more. There would be endorsements from many. If community organizers can get marches up and running in two days around the country, it’s time for some lawyer to start a legal collecting mechanism for just that kind of donation gathering. Even if it would not allow a tax deductible donation, a large proportion of the country would proudly donate anyway. It’s that important.

He probably won't since he already knows he can EO it to death and pretty much get whatever he wants by tweaking the bill to death just like zero did for eight long ones.

Obama ran on spending bills instead ob budget authority for eight years all on purpose. Using 17 lawyers in the background and hundreds of EO's obama was able to get pretty much his entire agenda passed or at least get close as we shall find out.We are still discovering what this phony illegal did for eight long ones.

Now it's our turn and Trump has already learned to play the spending bill vs. budget authority game if that's the way the dems want it.

My guess is they will be all too ready to design a new budget come this fall.

From what I am reading, the president as commander-in-chief of the military, can use funds from the record breaking big military funding for the wall. All he needs to do is declare wall is necessary to defend the homeland.

Yes, as a recipient of federal dollars, the US Gov’t has the right to audit Planned Parenthood and they have to account for every penny.

If there is one mistake, they can revoke all federal funding and ban them for misuse.
