Nearly a year before Attorney General Jeff Sessions fired senior FBI official Andrew McCabe for what Sessions called a "lack of candor," McCabe oversaw a federal criminal investigation into whether Sessions lacked candor when testifying before Congress about contacts with Russian operatives, sources familiar with the matter told ABC News.

What you posted is true.
It is high time for the DOJ IG report, and the work of the outside prosecutor that Sessions has already acknowledge in public exists, to drop the hammer.
This crap cannot go on much longer.
At this point, our very Constitution is at stake, and I am not being melodramatic.
So McCabe self identifies as a a Republican?
Who am I to judge?
[At this point, our very Constitution is at stake]
Yes it is. Will the liberals do a false flag when the IG report comes out?
Somebody asked that question a few days ago. Might not be too far-fetched.
It is high time to bring in the marines and clean house. Sessions and the IG are not doing anything but trying to stall for the corrupt state.
It is way past time for you “trust sessions” types to pull til ya hear a pop.
“Republican” doesn’t preclude irrationality regarding Donald Trump, as several notable Republicans have amply demonstrated.
i’m amazed to be on the same side as linda graham in anything, but i certainly agree that firing Jeff (which the President could have done anytime in the past, and certainly can do anytime now), would be like shooting himself in the foot. not that i think Trump’s dissatisfied with the job Jeff is doing. linda must have his own creepy reasons for defending Jeff, perhaps to make himself look big and important in d.c.
anyway imo, Jeff has so far been the President’s biggest asset in d.c. he’s doing so much to restore the rule of law just by his measured, statesman like actions, the force of his character, and his low-key personality. the pressure he’s putting on the left is amazing to me given the short time he’s had to do it.
anyway, i guess it’s agree to disagree—by 180 degrees—about Jeff. we’ll all see how it comes out in the end.
Grandkids?
Does it matter? The fact that he’s doing it means he needs to be fired and brought to justice himself.
I’ve heard smoking banana peels and drinking anti-freeze can lead to such delusions.
This kind of abuse of power under color of law does not just happen overnight
These dirty cops in the FBI have been doing this kind of stuff to other Obama opposition for most of the Obama Administration
It appears they are just fine with the Obama admin spying and framing a US Senator, AG, and a President of the US?
These men are useless cowards and do not deserve their positions...they could care less about their own voters.
[So McCabe self identifies as a a Republican?]
I’m certain he’s as Republican as John McCain and Jeff Flake.
>> dont like Jeff Sessions <<
Gen. Sessions has been bashed up one side and down the other in hundreds of FR threads over the last 12 months. I can’t recall seeing anybody’s defending him on FR.
And now, on this thread, Ole Jeff is practically a hero — plus a martyr and victim to boot.
Wow! How things change!
“he was waiting for the recommendation to fire McCabe and they took that long to deliver it”
Yes, the FBI’s internal affairs recommended McCabe’s firing. AT THE LAST MINUTE.
Maybe they didn’t think Sessions would pull the trigger before McCabe’s full retirement kicked in.
“well all see how it comes out in the end.”
We’ve already seen what Sessions has done. Irreparable damage to the Trump administration by putting corrupt obama stooges in charge of the DOJ. Putting mueller in charge of a soviet style special counsel coup to bring down Trump.
If Trump is finally removed from office, Sessions will go down as the biggest back-stabbing rat bastard traitor in post American history.
A good number of people have defended him on FR.
Yeah. I’ve read all I could stomach about the guy.
Oddly I don’t think my ancestors shot their British overlords in the Colonies to create a police state where a guy like that could act out.
Sorta the opposite.
But since he didn’t have any ancestors in the fight, guess it never crossed his mind that we felt like that.
The guy is clearly a psychopath of some degree, we could establish it with a PCL-R test. As you note, he has other pathologies, and people like him seek power to shield themselves from consequences of their very real personal defects.
He belongs nowhere near an elected President.
I too am starting to understand that the swamp is so very much wider and deeper than I previously thought.
Success is everyone’ favorite son, failure is an orphan.
