Chicago police are trying to identify the dozens of students from Simeon Career Academy who they say took part in a vandalism spree while they were supposed to be protesting guns.
Shoppers and store employees were stunned by the destruction Wednesday morning at the Walmart in Chatham Market on the South Side.
Chicago police say it started when students at neighboring Simeon Career Academy were allowed to leave the school for 17 minutes to take part in the nationwide walkout to protest guns.
Police say between 40 and 60 of those students crossed the street and trashed parts of the store, knocking over product displays, yanking items off shelves, breaking packages and stealing small items like chips and candy.

THIS is what Walmart gets for fighting to get into Chicago. Black gratitude.
Chicago values on full display.
The field trip of the Aspiring Rappers Club took a predictable turn.
Don’t judge them too harshly. Maybe they were distressed because they couldn’t find any products made in Wakanda.
Nothing says honoring the memory of the tragic deaths of students in a senseless act of violence by trashing a store in senseless act of vandalism.
This is the higher cost of doing business in these areas.
Many retailers (especially chains) decide to cut their losses and close the stores, retaurants, or supermarkets due to the higher cost of business in security, shoplifting, vandalism and violence.
It creates a “food desert” where there is no place to purchase food locally.
People all over the country will see some “leaders” in the local black community (though not all) who, backed by politicians at the state and federal level, will stand in front of a podium and talk about the entrenched racism and prejudice present in this country that is responsible for hard-working black citizens who cannot buy a quart of milk, without driving to another part of the city, which adds to their cost of living and is a form of oppression.
They will never show the video like this to people at those rallies, but that is the higher cost of doing business in those areas.
To many in that community (though not all) it is simple racism that causes these things, not vandalism, crime, violence, higher physical security costs, and theft.
That’s a very unfortunate choice of names. I suspect Jane Goodall is camped out on the football field.
But, you say, we destroy the most hallowed of relations, when we replace home education by social.
And your education! Is not that also social, and determined by the social conditions under which you educate, by the intervention direct or indirect, of society, by means of schools, etc? The Communists have not invented the intervention of society in education; they do but seek to alter the character of that intervention, and to rescue education from the influence of the ruling class.
The bourgeois clap-trap about the family and education, about the hallowed co-relation of parents and child, becomes all the more disgusting, the more, by the action of Modern Industry, all the family ties among the proletarians are torn asunder, and their children transformed into simple articles of commerce and instruments of labour..
Thugs “demonstrating” guns demonstrate why guns are necessary.
Easy solution, close the store in Chicago.
Chicago School District is legally responsible IMHO!

Ferals being ferals. No surprises there.
