Trump may be floating a plan to fire Jeff Sessions...

President Donald Trump has been formulating a plan to fire Attorney General Jeff Sessions, Vanity Fair reported on Wednesday. Sessions has been a target of Trump's ire since he recused himself from the FBI's Russia investigation last March, following reports that he was not forthcoming during his Senate confirmation hearing about his contacts with Russian officials during the 2016 campaign season. Sessions' recusal is a key point of frustration for Trump, who once reportedly asked why he couldn't order "my guys" at the "Trump Justice Department" to do what"weak" and McCabe, whom Trump described as "a Comey friend who McCabe was forced out of the FBI earlier this year amid an internal investigation into his handling of the Clinton email probe. On Wednesday, The New York Times reported that Sessions is weighing whether or not to fire McCabe over his alleged misconduct days before he's set to retire. Trump's tweets last summer came after he admitted, during an interview with The Times the previous week, that he would not have nominated Sessions to be attorney general if he had known Sessions would recuse himself from the Russia investigation. "Sessions should have never recused himself, and if he was going to recuse himself, he should have told me before he took the job, and I would have picked somebody else," Trump told the outlet. Sessions said this weekend that he believes he made the right decision by stepping aside from the DOJ's Russia investigation. The special counsel Robert Mueller is believed to be focusing on the time period last summer when Trump ramped up his attempts to pressure Sessions to carry out his suggestions. That inquiry makes up one thread of Mueller's investigation into whether Trump sought to obstruct justice when he fired FBI director James Comey last May.

If I were Sessions I’d check the President’s Twitter feed before going to the office each morning.

Sessions spends so much time “considering” things and claiming things are “going to happen” and “people are looking at this...”

What a load of DC BS. No wonder this guy was a politician - he does nothing but obfuscate, and never actually accomplishes anything. Trump should have fired him the minute he recused himself.

Rudolph Giuliani should have been appointed on day one. Sessions is a pussy.

A. Rudy said he didn’t want the job.
B. Yes, he is.

...”Rudolph Giuliani should have been appointed on day one. Sessions is a pussy.”...

He would have been perfect. I seriously doubt that he would take the job now. Anytime I think of Jeff Sessions and what seems to be his lack of courage in protecting this nation and it’s people from the crime that is besetting all of our institutions, just depresses and sadden me to a point that I cannot describe. So much promised..Nothing delivered.

If I were the President, I would have felt betrayed that Sessions withheld this most important intention from me until after he took the job. He should have been removed on the day he recused himself. That matter was too important not to have an acting AT. Sessions should be fired and Joe DiGenova should become AG.

Sessions will be fired the day after the November 2018 elections when the Pubs keep the House of Representatives and 'Rat calls for Trump's impeachment will be meaningless.

Best. Beer. Ever. EVER! MAGA! :)

I was just in New Glarus, WI the other day, dropping off some steer hides at Hoesley’s. (Post butchering; they take them off our hands. The steer are now in nice little packages in my freezer.)

I always have Spotted Cow on hand at home. One of Life’s Simple Pleasures is handing a bottle to someone who’s never had one. *SMILE*

Excellent point. Maybe some REAL chaos versus the made-up Enemy Media lies would do us all some good? ;)

How do you know that Trump appointed all these people? He appointed the AG, but...

I don't believe for a second that a competent executive like Trump would place any less care in selecting a key direct subordinate's deputy as upon the principal. A deputy is always regarded as a possible successor.

Thanks for the information on Horowitz.

You're welcome, but pay close attention to the tweets by DC US Attorney Jessie Liu. As an experienced prosecutor and former deputy assistant attorney general, Liu knows that her statements would be actionable if untrue. The silence of all would-be detractors and the fact that Twitter suspended her account Indicate she's telling the truth.

Maybe Trump can find a boilerplate excuse. Like Sessions misused an official telephone, or expensed a personal item, or ordered a very expensive dining room set.

A publication (BI) that names Hanoi as the best tourist place to visit in March loses all respectability to me, and will neither be read nor commented on.
