Once the schools are buttoned up like forts and protected by armed guards and/or staff what will the bad guys do when they want to commit mayhem?

Pay attention to the bit about raising the age to 21 for 'certain types of firearms.' This is a way to get a legal definition of the made up term "assault weapons" into the law again. No way that would ever be used against us later, right?

When Trump puts something out, he’s looking for input. It’s called CONGRESS....and the people they represent....He wants to hear from BOTH sides of the aisle.
Didn't like that much when it applied to me. When I turned 21 I'd already been in the Army almost 3 years and had been in SEA 2. I was allowed to enlist at barely 18, but couldn't vote. I couldn't buy a vehicle, or marry without a permission letter from my parents and commander until 21.

Sadly, enough Americans vote their pocketbook not their freedoms to give him another 4 years. To take more of our freedoms. The liar.

Only because he didn’t have the chance, not for not trying. He was willing to send thousands of “assault weapons” to Mexican cartels to create a “crisis” in order reinstate and expand the AWB. If anything it was Harry Reid who killed any gun control. If Schumer had been in charge he probably would have passed one.
In any case nothing has happened yet. All this it is floating the notion of keeping 18-20 year olds not being able to buy “certain kinds” of firearms, not all firearms, and not everyone. If you are willing to throw out someone who has done hundreds of great things that NO OTHER GOP candidate would have done (at least none that could ever win) over that, you are not a serious person.
Obama also signed a bill allowing Amtrak passengers to carry guns in checked baggage, reversing a ban that was put in place after 9/11.
Because of all this the Brady Campaign gave Obama an F in January 2010.
Now having said that don't panic yet about Trump. He often makes bold statements to appease the Left but nothing comes of it.
Meanwhile keep pounding at your Congress critters and Senators with calls and emails. Be polite but firm and tell them you'll accept no compromise and absolutely no new legislation that infringes our 2nd Amendment rights.
Same goes for the President... burn up the phone lines and fill his email inbox. Old fashioned snail mail is great too.

Oh good grief! Fair weather friends and supporters “everything must go my way or they will lose my vote”. Well...life is not like that. He’s by far the best President we’ve had in forever, he deserves your vote.
