In the wake of news that the United States is suing California for its immigration laws, U.S. Attorney General Jeff Sessions took aim at the state’s leaders, and one mayor in particular.
He singled out Oakland Mayor Libby Schaaf, who sparked controversy last month by warning the city’s residents of an impending federal immigration raid.
That move led to backlash from officials including Immigration and Customs Enforcement Director Thomas Homan. He confirmed that the agency would be launching a “review” of what he called an “irresponsible decision” that tipped off criminals living in the state.
Sessions maintained that tone in comments he made Wednesday morning during a speech at an event supporting the law enforcement community.
“Federal agents must be able to do that job that Congress directed them to do,” he said, asserting that policies like those of Schaaf and others across the state put the lives of officers in jeopardy.

That should have triggered an immediate arrest.
He should be arresting her.
It doesn’t matter what Sessions does, you like all the people in Oakland, are going to attack him as if he were the criminal.
Move it as far north as possible. There is a Federal Court up by Redding, I think. Better yet, move it to a military court. Just because California opened up this dance, does not mean they get to de cide where the dance is held. What would Obama have done, if everything was reversed?

Yes. Leftists understand and react to three things:
1. Threats of violence.
2. Violence.

LBJ’s attorney general would have arrested the Oakland mayor if she defied any federal law. What has Sessions really done?

This issue threatens to follow the pattern of inaction and smoke-blowing that accompanied states passing legalization of federally proscribed drugs. When the federal government did nothing to stop the spate of pot laws, the states figured they could get away with anything. That the feds were paper tigers, all talk and no bite. They were right when it came to the dangerous drug legalizations, are they going to be right about sanctuary, and an end to borders?
